loops back to beginning in the final 30 seconds
I appreciated the narrator's consistency with matching a character voice to that character's dialogue. Nobby's voice acting is a perfect match for the personality, and Vimes is fairly good. I don't know yet that I liked it enough to re-purchase the rest of the Watch arc with this narrator -- it depends on the studio quality on Men At Arms, which is written as much more of an ensemble story.

I bought all the ones that Stephen Briggs did before they were gone. But since I only had bought non audio books before I decided I would rather have an unabridged new ones than a mixed bag of speakers.

Fantastic!
This might not be the funniest or most memorable disk world novel. But it is one of the most important. And it still has all the charm, comedy, and biting commentary that Pratchett was known for

Love his art
If you like fantasy book this book is for you. Pratchett takes all the cliches about fantasy books and uses them in different and fun ways. This is not your classic o typical story about magic, dragons and heroes.

A brilliant distillation of the fantasy genre
I read the entire Death series and was about to put Discworld down for a while before I read Guards! Guards! Now I’m afraid I’ve doomed myself to spend the next three years reading every book in the series.
Guards! Guards! is one of those stories like The Princess Bride, Shrek, or Howl’s Moving Castle that takes the most iconic touchstones of fantasy/fairy tale stories and perfectly tows the line between brilliant satire and earnest storytelling. It shows the best of what Discworld can be: witty, insightful, creative, surprising, and endlessly fun.
The Penguin Audio performances bring the world and characters to life, and it’s a great having the voices of Death and the footnotes carry across series.
This book made me fall in love with Discworld all over again, and is sure to catch any newcomers to the series. I cannot recommend it enough.
