A taboo subject that does need to talked about for the victim’s sake.

The narration was excellent as he told this unsettling story. Held my attention from beginning to end.

Captivating

This was, hands down, the best true crime book I’ve listened to here, as of yet. It was a well written & unbelievably horrific story. I would have given it all 5 stars but could not get past the low, gravely, droning voice of the reader. Awful.

Story was very well researched

But the narrator was so monotoned I found myself bored even through the most horrible parts

Almost unbelievable

Held my interest the entire way. Hard to believe there is such evil people in this world

Don't listen if you are not ready for bed

This narrator has such a dull voice that is does nothing but put you to sleep. There is no inflection in his voice. There is no way to tell the different characters apart - they all sound the same. I found myself completely falling asleep at work while listening to this.
This subject matter is horrible - child abuse is never a good thing. But I'll be damned, this narrator found a way to make it sound boring. That is how bad he truly is.
Please avoid this narrator at all costs. Maybe this book is good in written form only - I don't know. I just couldn't find it in myself to stay interested enough to want to continue.

Good writing, poor narration

The narrators voice is not pleasant to listen to. Throughout most of the book you can also hear him wheezing through his nose, which is gross

Should have not bought, saved my credit, bought the book & read it myself

The narrator was hard to hear & seemed to whisper at times. I had to strain to hear & had to rewind to hear what he said.
