Many Christians today tend to view the story of medieval faith as a cautionary tale. Too often, they dismiss the Middle Ages as a period of corruption and decay in the church. A splendid introduction to Medieval faith from an Evangelical perspective
Sadly, due to the anti-catholic prejudices of the Protestant Reformation and the 18th century enlightenment, many evangelicals are extremely skeptical of Medieval Christianity. Armstrong, using CS Lewis as a trustworthy guide, reintroduces evangelicals to the forgotten insights of more than 1000 years of Church history.
I will recommend this book to all my Christian friends, Evangelical and Catholic.
