Publisher's summary

All Delora ever wanted was to disappear.

Thrown into the Veil for a crime she committed, Delora was discarded by the world. Although afraid of her oncoming demise, she accepts it as it would be a worldly escape from her problems. She didn’t expect that she would wake up from her deadly fall, nor that the person who saved her would be a Duskwalker.

She’s wary about him at first, but Delora begins to realise there’s more to him than just a faceless monster.

All he ever wanted was a name.

After discovering that humans can be kept as companions, he begins planning for the day he finds his own bride. He still lacks humanity and there is much to learn first. One morning when leaving his cave, a human suddenly crashes into him from the sky. Broken and sleeping, he gets to work on healing the woman.

It doesn’t take him long to understand she’s wounded in a way his magic can’t heal.

But will he be able to gain her affections, or will she come to hate him as he stumbles his way through learning about her – and more importantly, himself?

More Human than Humans

Loved this story. I am the complete opposite of the FMC generally, however as I’ve gotten older and wiser I’ve learned that it’s ok to be “weaker”. I was and am also broken but that broken things can be and are even more beautiful. The author is always brilliant in how she approaches her stories and she certainly doesn’t disappoint now.

Love this series- must listen!

The book took me by surprise. I fell in love with Orpheus but Magnar is now my favorite. I cried a little too my baby is leaving the nest as well. I can’t wait for the next book. I don’t want to buy the hard copy the audiobook is so worth it!

Romance

Besides, this book being very steamy, I absolutely adored the strong struggle of emotions and the character growth between the two main characters. Such raw emotion, and true feelings

Amazing Series!

I cant wait for more! personally this is my least favorite out of all of Reyne's novels, however it's still amazing. my only complaint was that there were some inconsistencies in name pronunciations which took me out of the story several times. like within one minute, the same name would have 2 different pronunciations that the narrator would go back and forth between. that's really the only issue I had. amazing book I can't wait for book 3 (one of my favorites)

The whining made me want to DNF

Overall the story is fine. I loved "nameless" but, the FMC not so much. she was whiny and petulant and weak. I hate weak FMC so maybe that just a personal thing. the narratorayion from the males was wonderful as usual. Holy hell the female characters voice made me want to rip my ears off!. I guess a credit to the narrator that she recognized that she was a whiny weakling and match the voice to it perfectly but ughhhh It's taking me over a week to get through this because I can only tolerate the voice but so much.

I love these silly Duskwalkers!

This was definitely different from the first book and I think I really like that. I was reading another series that was almost repetitive up to the third book but the Duskwalker Brides series stories are so different and keep me wanting to explore their world more.
