Story
Open your eyes to one of the greatest naturalist writers of all time with these two short stories by William H.H. Murray. These stories, featuring John Norton, the trapper, were so well loved, that Murray performed them more than 500 times, on book tours in New England and New York. Written at the dawn of the Industrial Revolution, Murray’s stories of the Adirondack wilderness of the 1860s made outdoor activities like hiking and camping popular for the first time.

It's hard to look at the headlines, see the continuing turmoil in the Middle East and the decline of society here in the United States, and not think that we are living in the end times. The prophetic stories of the Bible seem to be happening right in front of our eyes today as we see what is happening around the world. Scripture tells us that we do not know the day nor the hour when Christ will return, but that we should recognize the signs of His imminent return and be prepared.

Story
Is church history about to be rewritten? Contrary to the teachings of church history, do recently discovered ancient parchments indicate Paul - not Peter - was the first Pope? Crucial pages of the Apostle Paul's parchments have gone missing, and rumors of their contents have the world reeling. Dr. Augie Knox is on a quest to find the pages that reveal what God Himself taught the man who would become the greatest apologist in the history of the Christian church.

Incomplete
I wanted to give fair warning to anyone considering the purchase of this book. I would have given it much higher than a 3 star rating, because it is actually well written and quite interesting, but the download is missing most of Chapter 22, all of Chapter 23, and most of Chapter 24. It is an obvious break in the story line. I had to get the book from the library to find out what was in the missing section, because it was driving me crazy.

Two part story?
I chose this book because I enjoy listening to John McDonough. He does a great job, as usual, of bringing the characters to life. I enjoyed the first part of the story very much, but it seemed to me that there were a lot of gaps in the story, where years when by and the reader was left wondering. Then the story picks up again in a totally different setting. I think the story ended quit abruptly and I guess I was expecting more detail about the reunion of the couple. Probably not a book that I would include in my "top ten" favorites.
