The Gold Standard
David Gemmell's writing style appeals to me like no other, and I've read all his works in print. I searched Audible for Gemmell's works when I first joined, and it's fantastic that they are now coming to audiobook format.
For those unfamiliar with his work, start here with Legend. It is as good a sample of his work as anything else he's written, and you'll know quickly if you enjoy his pace and writing style. I do hope you enjoy his books as much as I have. Sean Barrett has done a good job of matching voices to characters.

Enjoyed this book
I have been reading fantasy books since childhood and don’t know how I missed this gem. Fun characters and solid story telling. Nothing new or revolutionary but solid fantasy fun.

Should be a Movie
David Gemmell taught me to read... if you're wondering what that means its exactly that... i never enjoyed books barley made it out of high-school because of it. But alone on a ship headed for foreign shores. I was given the Legend... and haven't been able to put down the stories of Mr. Gemmell... I own all his books but since i don't have time to sit and get lost into fantasy i bought this. This is my 3rd cycle of the saga on audio... thank you, Mr. Gemmell May you Rest in Peace

A Classic. A Legend.
I saw an interview with Henry Cavill where he recommended this book. I'm glad I followed that recommendation. Druss the Legend is a captivating character who has a history that made me want to learn more. The tension of battle is intense in this book. And I thought it was well performed by the voice actor.
