Good time story, great narrator, progressive ideas

This book was a lot different than the previous 2 books in this series. For one, there was no scientific concepts that were explained in great detail...it was more of a science fiction type book with not as much grounding in actual science fact as the previous two books.

This is still a great read....it is a fun time-travel story with all the implications of what that might mean (time loops, time changes, consequences of time travel, etc.) I really enjoyed this part of the story, because it was very mind-bending to think about and follow. If time travel were a real thing, a lot of what is discussed and that which the characters live through, would be things to keep in mind.

There are a lot more progressive messages in this book than the previous two books. The messages conveyed were: the subjugation of women by men, totalitarian government control and why it's bad, men using women for sexual reasons, quid-quo-pro situations, etc. The messages are not over-done, so even if your beliefs differ, it shouldn't keep you from listening to this book.

I feel like a lot of authors began putting their viewpoints of the world and the current reality (when the books were written) into their stories more and more. I'd prefer if they stuck to actual stories and left out their views, but I suppose they are using a medium to express their thoughts and that's okay as long as it's not over-done and the book becomes nothing more than a vehicle to express their ideas. This book centers around a science fictional type story, with only tidbits of Phillips' view of the world sprinkled in here and there, so it is story-centric, not idea-centric.

The narrator of this story was phenomenal; he changed his tonal qualities so well for different characters, as well as adding in emotional inflections to really make the story come alive. He was very good at voicing male/female characters, as well as AI type characters. I think he was a great choice to narrate this book.

So, in summary, I'd recommend this book, but don't expect it to be like the previous two books - there is not as much scientific fact discussed or experienced, but it's still a good book that will keep you entertained.

I liked this book, which I read 4/2020 while "sheltering at home". Decent comfort food. probly will re-read the series, but no rush

Great book. Fun! True Sifi. I love time travel stories. Great writing. I want more!

The best of the three

The first book hooked me in but the second made me uncertain about continuing. I’m so glad that I did. This was the best one. I think partly because I enjoy a little more suspense / mystery. A little more of a problem. Both of which this book had. Great ideas that also made me think more.

wonderful story

I truly enjoyed reading this book. The author is amazingly clever. I constantly try to anticipate where the story is going but the twists and turns go beyond my imagination.

Time travel

Usually time travel stories are confusing. This story was less confusing so I didn't get distracted. The main character is easy to warm up to, intelligent, handsome and courageous but also humble and honest.

Best one yet

Actually enjoyed this one more than the previous in the series. Also much prefer narration in a male voice.

not as good as quantum

although this one was not as good as quantum space, it was so much better than quantum void. I love the idea of jumping forward in time by leaving a marker like a GPS marker and then being able to go back in time to where you started from. I don't understand all the science or even most of the sites that's presented at this book but I find it intriguing and entertaining.

GREAT STORY/GOOD SCOEMTOFOC S[ECI;ATOPM

I HAVE BEEN following thes characters throughout the last weveral weeks and I feel as though they are good friends. Delighted to share their adventures and their romace. Truly a creative masterpiece.

Juvenile, one dimensional characters.

I enjoyed the first two books in the series, but this is the first one I listened to instead of reading. Not sure if that made a difference, but there were times I was listening and literally groaned out loud at how naive/lame/simple some of the characters sounded. I love sci-fi and time travel genres among others and can tell the author loves many of the same favorites (The Moon is a Harsh Mistress, Back to the Future, 1984, Childhood's End). This unfortunately needs more character development.
