Publisher's summary

Come meet Max. She's brash. She's inked. She has a bad habit of dying...a lot.

She's also a Rogue with a demon on her tail and not much backup. This witch has a bone to pick.

I was burned at the stake at 14...

I was drowned in a lake when I was 24...

At 27, I was stoned in a public square...

I have died a hundred times in a hundred different ways, usually at the hands of the humans I've tried to save. But when a pregnant young woman finds her way into my tattoo shop with a demon on her tail, things go from bad to worse. Being a centuries-old witch isn't going to help me—nothing will.

This time I might just die in a way that sticks...permanently.

Rogue Ethereal: The Complete Series contains all six books in this thrilling urban fantasy series.

Overall good

I really liked the story line about Max and her friends. The only thing I didn’t love was the narrator.. her inflections and the way she talks is just distracting and frankly kind of annoying. Also her pronunciation of “athame” drives me bonkers… it’s spoken like it’s spelled, not “ath-uh-may.” I ended up getting the book so I could finish without having to listen to the audiobook.

One of the best stories ever!

This story was amazing. it evoked so much emotion. I was laughing and then a few minutes later I'm crying. I was able to really identify with the characters and it drew me in.

great narration by Cassandra Parker!!!!

love the main character's overall sarcasm and sass. Cassandra Parker is the perfect narrator for the series. she brings Max alive with the emotion she uses as she reads!!!

whine whine whine

Could not finish the series. The main character has 0 development other than getting massively more powerful. All she seems to do is whine about her past despite the fact that she's gotten so much from her present. It became super repetitive and annoying. If she'd grown even a tiny bit from the first book it might have made a difference but she's stuck in the same woe is me that she had at the beginning with 0 personal growth.

Just wow.

This series was amazing. It did not disappoint. At no point did I wish the book was over or would hurry up. I binged it straight through.

New Favorite

Apart from vilifying Lucifer, I loved everything about this series. It's now one of my favorites! (Also, I need more!)

Whining is way over used

The story elements and plot were interesting. However the nearly continuous whining starts to grate. I may come back to this series in time but not for a while. The narrator doesn’t have enough variation to keep the characters distinct. One last issues I had with a 400 year old acting like a teen.

Good Story, Bad Narrator

The story is good, hard to follow and pay attention due to bland or overly exaggerated narrator. All voices have the same tone and inflection so you can't tell the characters apart. Really hard to finish all 6 books and found myself rewinding WAY to much to try and follow along.
