Publisher's summary

Nico Marshall’s living her best life. Her packaging company’s turning a profit and she’s just been labeled Chicago’s most promising up-and-coming artist. The only thing missing is love. When she meets a beautiful woman on the train with an indescribable sweet and sugary scent, Nico’s ready to make her move.

Sophia Sweet doesn’t have time for distractions. Never mind how fit and tan Nico is, or how she has the most beautiful eyes ever. Sophia only has one goal: Keep the family business alive. Her third-generation chocolatier shop, Sweet Stuff, is tanking. In a last-ditch effort, Sophia creates an upscale version of their product and needs the perfect package to ensure success.

When Sophia recognizes Nico from the train but mistakes her for the packaging company’s warehouse employee, Nico doesn’t bother to correct her. She’s been burned by women in the past wanting her for her money. This time, she’s determined to win Sophia over with her charm.

I Want Chocolate! And Nico

This is a modern day romance where Nico, the first person POV character, sees a woman who rides her train (only on Thursdays), but is too nervous to approach her. The woman always smells sweet , like chocolate or caramel or other sweet sugary smells. The woman ends up a customer at Nico's packaging/recycling company and assumes Nico works in the warehouse. Nico doesn't correct her - thus ensues a story of a little white lie that grows and snowballs into something out of control.

The characters are wonderful and realistic. Nico is flawed, Sophia is a borderline ice queen. Their romance is adorable and the sex scenes hot. Happy ending, great story.

All the heart stuff.

Is it my imagination or does Kris Bryant just keep getting more amazing? After each book I read, I find myself saying, “Well, now this one is my favorite.”

A Treasure

Nico is a wonderfully fresh and flawed main character who seems to be part charmer and part train wreck. While you cheer for her hopes with Sophia you also cringe as you watch Nico stick her foot in her mouth. The supporting characters, a true strength of Kris’s work, are delightful in their emotional honesty and provide such a contrast to Nico’s crisis of conscience. What I really love about this story is that all the angst comes from the choices of one character rather than some outside settings or circumstance. The journey is a front row seat to falling in love, feeling the heat, flames that burn, love through art, and the art of love.

Love Chocolate, Love Chicago, Love Love

Another wonderful story by Kris Bryant! You can’t go wrong with chocolate, Chicago, love, and a rich woman pulling out all the stops but acting like the semi starving artist.

Brittni Pope is a good Narrator. Sometimes if my brain drifts it is hard to differentiate each characters voice but I was very engaged with this story so it only happened to me once.

love this book

Another winner from Kris Bryant. Kris writes with emotion and finesse. I love these characters. Nico's angst over revealing her secret is very believable and the narrator was a perfect fit for this book.
