Publisher's summary

The Genesis Game Collection

Ruthless, they called him. The Black Seraph, the title given to the strongest human after the rise of the system. The master of the player killer guild, Carrion Crow.

He survived where all others failed.

Survived and cleared the World Dungeon.

But such a victory came at a cost. His power sealed away deep within the dungeon, Seraph was cast into the past, reincarnated into his younger self while the World Dungeon regressed.

Granted a second life in his younger body, Seraph must find a new way forward. Not as Seraph, but as Luca. But people do not change overnight, and for Seraph, the power to change the future is its own justification. He must discover how to be something more than just a tyrant if he is to move forward and survive what is to come—survive the why behind the system.

Great Read IMO

The story kept me guessing as to what would happen next. Although the ending sure caught me by surprise on how abrupt it was and left a few loose ends.

Another well-written story from a very good author

The Complete Genesis Game Series: A Litrpg Dark Fantasy Apocalypse (Pandemonium Dungeon Apocalypse), my twelfth read author Wolfe Locke. Another unique, captivating, page-turning, well-written read, although longer than anything else I've read from him, 22-hours 53-minutes/857-pages. I'm voluntarily leaving a review." Christopher Harbour‘s narration adds to the enjoyment of the book. “I received a free Audible copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review." The gifting of this book did not affect my opinion of it. (RIP Marley January 20, 2014 - July 24, 2018).

I kept listening hoping the MC would die.

this is another story where it would be better if the MC died. All he was is a compasionless masochist there were so many ways he could have acted differently to actually save people. Instead he would get rid of them for having the potential of being in his way.

Game dominance with a twist

Received as an audio review copy from Story Origin, this is an honest review. Narrated by Christopher Harbour, takes listeners into the complex, visual world of this litrpg adventure. The character of Seraph was intriguing because despite having been the dominated fighter in the World Dungeon game but he's gets another shot to become something more than just a victor at all costs. It's a good story, although for myself I'm just not entirety sure litrpg books work well as audiobooks: the adventurous nature of those stories works but when it comes to all stats and gaming mechanics feels a better impact when reading rather being told it.

Personally enjoyable

I liked this series. Some of it was disappointing, but overall it was enjoyable. I do recommend this series, but I don't think everyone will like it.

Christopher Harbour did pretty good with this series, he had a different variety of voices and his voice wasn't annoying at all. He seems to fit this book very well. Overall, he gets a 4.5 from me.

I feel the characters are written alright, not overly good but not bad either. Wolfe Locke certainly gives them depth, but I feel some of the characters could just be written better. Characters are getting a 3.5 to a 4 for me.

I feel the plot is off and on in this book, sometimes it's overly entertaining, other times it seems lackluster. I do like the plot overall, but it could use some improvements in my opinion. I'd rate it a 4 star.

I could say I liked this series, it has it's flaws, but overall I'd say the story as a whole is really good. I do think alot of people will like this book, but I also think alot of people will dislike it.

Great Dark Fantasy GameLit Story

I enjoyed this story a lot. While I listened to this audiobook, I felt like I was actually a player in the game. I got wrapped up in the conflicted personality of the main character known as "The Black Seraph". I enjoyed all the different and various fantastic creatures that made an appearance in the story. I liked that leveling up, fight scenes, and magic were all part of the action. The one thing that I wish had been different was that the prequel was at the front of the story rather than at the end. Christopher Harbour's narration was great, and his performance added to the story's entertainment. I was given a free copy of the audiobook, and I have voluntarily posted this review.

An excellent series and series value!

The Complete Genesis Game series by Wolfe Locke is an amazing series and value. Just enough LitRPG elements and Dark Fantasy elements to uphold tagline. I thoroughly enjoyed this series and you will too! The MC is well developed, the world is fleshed out, the plot moves at a good pace, and the overall story is engaging. Audio Version: Christopher Harbour always does an excellent job and this title is no exception. The characters and narration is always excellent!

Detached

There is a disconnect from the narration of this story in the world it is in. The narration is so distant and dramatic that it gives a also distant quality to the story and World building. If this was done in first person it could have helped there's other authors who do narration very well third person but this one wasn't done that well. The author recites this story like trying to narrate a anime but I don't think it's possible to make a good story this way. You have to screenwrite a anime one way but story writes differently and this is part of the disconnect.
