Story
In the wake of an environmental catastrophe, January, once a principal in London's Royal Ballet, has become a refugee in Tharsis, the terraformed colony on Mars. There, January’s life is dictated by his status as an Earthstronger—a person whose body is not adjusted to lower gravity and so poses a danger to those born on, or naturalized to, Mars. January’s job choices, housing, and even transportation are dictated by this second-class status, and now a xenophobic politician named Aubrey Gale is running on a platform that would make it all worse.

It's hard enough balancing two jobs with raising my son solo. Forget dating. I barely have time for laundry. But when my son’s scouting troop The Falcons needed a co-scout leader, I couldn’t say no. There’s just one ginormous problem: the other scout leader Russ. To all other parents, he’s #DadGoals, Mr. Sexy Widower who lords over the drop off line. To me? He’s the bane of my picket-fenced existence - stuck up, anal (not in the fun way), and definitely the person who got me booted from the Parent Teacher Association.

When Phoebe, goddess of the moon, is killed by the knights of the sun god, Hyperion, all who follow her are branded heretics. He lives in the shadows, on scraps, eking out a meager existence as a thief. But when an ornate box is sequestered in the Temple of Hyperion, the chance of a big score proves too great to resist. Kyran Harbor is everything I'm not. Rich. Popular. A superstar football player who's awfully broody for someone who has it all. Basically, he's a preppy jock who hates me. Oh, and he's also my stepbrother. That's right. We're stuck together, sharing a school, a house, a bathroom. Honestly I wouldn't care if he wasn't such an uptight control freak who messes with me just because we're different. I had every intention of avoiding him when we got to college. Until abrupt misfortune forces us both into a compromising position.

Bookstore owner Aubrey Barnes likes his quiet, orderly London life, thank you very much. His shop may be struggling, his only employee is a menace, and his plumbing is one creaky pipe away from disaster, but he can handle it. Maybe. He cannot, however, handle the film company that's thrown his Soho street into chaos. And he definitely can't handle the charismatic American actor Blake Sinclair.

This week hasn’t gone the best for me unless you count Casimir, the sexy ancient vampire, bringing me back from the brink of death (and tying my fate to his in the process). Not that it matters if the werewolves and vampires don’t stop their ridiculous feud, because someone is targeting them and widening the divide between our communities with each body they leave in their wake. But as the alpha’s son, I have a plan to fix everything. I’m going to convince Casimir to fake date me to show the others that we can work together. I mean… what could go wrong?

Publisher's summary
"A sweeping triumph in queer romance." –Booklist
“What if I told you that the feeling we call love is actually the feeling of metaphysical recognition, when your soul remembers someone from a previous life?”
In the year 4 BCE, an ambitious courtier is called upon to seduce the young emperor—but quickly discovers they are both ruled by blood, sex and intrigue.
In 1740, a lonely innkeeper agrees to help a mysterious visitor procure a rare medicine, only to unleash an otherworldly terror instead.
And in present-day Los Angeles, a college student meets a beautiful stranger and cannot shake the feeling they’ve met before.
Across these seemingly unrelated timelines woven together only by the twists and turns of fate, two men are reborn, lifetime after lifetime. Within the treacherous walls of an ancient palace and the boundless forests of the Asian wilderness to the heart-pounding cement floors of underground rave scenes, our lovers are inexplicably drawn to each other, constantly tested by the worlds around them.
As their many lives intertwine, they begin to realize the power of their undying love—a power that transcends time itself…but one that might consume them both.
An unpredictable roller coaster of a debut novel, The Emperor and the Endless Palace is a genre-bending spicy romantasy that challenges everything we think we know about true love.
AUTHOR'S NOTE: The Emperor and the Endless Palace is a heart-pounding romantasy, full of shocking twists, morally shifty characters, and erotic thrills. When it comes to the romance within this novel, you can expect equal parts mess and swoon, but its central thread is an epic tale of true love against all the odds.

Hank has never had a family and he’s not exactly the type of guy people like. The only things he excels at are saving children as an EMT, dominating Scipio, his husband like he needs to be dominated, and extreme sports. He does many of those, but he keeps it from his husband because . . . Scipio lost his first husband and unborn child in a climbing accident. After that, he reverted to an earlier time in his life when he was dealing with gang rapes and bullying as an orphan after he lost his parents and grandmother in a single car accident. In this way, his needs are met. And now they're ...

A story of Soul Mates
I'm not much of a fantasy fiction reader but this story won my heart! A love story of soul mates! Great performance of characters as well.

An amazing book
This was amazing and the only complaint is I wish there was more. The narrative is compelling, the story is gripping, and the readers give an amazing performance. I look forward to hearing more of this authors work. I can’t wait to see what else Justinian Huang will write!

sexy, fun, beautiful prose
I went in with low expectations but was delighted to find a highly enthralling story of love, messy relationships and lots of hot scenes to boot. I thought the choice to make the story switch between characters whom were connected, but a few thousand years apart was a really good choice and kept things spicy with lots of great cliff hangers and twists. If you're a fan of fantasy, gay erotica or both (like myself) definitely pick this up!

Twist and Turns and Pure Amazement
This book is not like any other. It’s a slow burn, but once you’re in it, you can’t stop. It’s so good. I didn’t know how it end, as it kept surprising me. This is a beautiful book.

An ambitious book
This was a sexy and ambitious book that didn’t really click with me most of the time. There was a lot to love, and the sex scenes were sexy, but I often found the rest of the plot confusing. I wanted to love it but I never got there unfortunately.
