Fascinating and exciting

Wow, what can I say. This is the most exciting thing I've listened to. A documentary in a form of a perfect spy action movie. I love that it's a woman's perspective story. It makes it very relatable (as if I'm not enough biased).
And for me it's also a view outside the box (the box that has closed recently and luckily I'm not there anymore). The history that happened not so long ago and you remember all the events as if you were part of them. And you even think, guys, I might have some answers. Rosamund Pike is an excellent narrator. Her voice and emotion makes it so much fun.
Enjoy!!!

Great Performance, interesting story

Interesting story though could have been told more concisely. Interviews of the friends felt repetitive, as stories kept reinforcing that she was outgoing and he was reserved. No payoff since we don't get much of an update on where the illegals are now. Was left feeling that both govts spend an enormous amount of energy in this spy theater for no real purpose.

Great listen while driving

I listen to a lot of Audible books while driving, but this was my first podcast. Where have I been!!! A very intriguing story -- of which I was not aware--although at my age, I probably should have been! Since I listen to most Audibles while driving, there is a fine line between keeping up with the story line and your eye on the road. This was perfect for both. Looking forward to closing more podcasts.

Fantastic true story

I binged this podcast in a day and a half. It was well -written, well -researched and excellently presented. As a parent, a patriot and a mom, I was fascinated by the story of Cynthia Murphy, a Russian spy who infiltrated American life with her husband/partner. Sent to the US to ingratiate themselves with well-healed politicos who could provide secrets to Russia, they embodied American life living in the suburbs with their two daughters while Cynthia held down an important financial job. The story is told through the eyes of their friends, employer, and the FBI agents who watched them for years. Though the podcast never truly revealed whether they were privy to any real information for them to pass along to their government, it was fascinating to me to see how easily they were able to acclimate themselves into our culture. Rosamund Pike's performance was excellent. If you ever watched and enjoyed the TV series "The Americans" you will love this podcast!

Fascinating story of Russian spies

Beautifully narrated story that humanizes the main characters even though they were spies. You can’t help but root for them to come out of this okay especially the children
