広井良典(ひろい よしのり)
京都大学こころの未来研究センター教授。1961年岡山市生まれ。東京大学・同大学院修士課程修了後、厚生省勤務を経て96年より千葉大学法経学部助教授、2003年より同教授。この間マサチューセッツ工科大学(MIT)客員研究員。16年4月より現職。専攻は公共政策及び科学哲学。限りない拡大・成長の後に展望される「定常型社会=持続可能な福祉社会」を一貫して提唱するとともに、社会保障や環境、都市・地域に関する政策研究から、時間、ケア、死生観等をめぐる哲学的考察まで幅広い活動を行っている。『コミュニティを問いなおす』(ちくま新書)で第9回大佛次郎論壇賞を受賞。その他の著書に『ケアを問いなおす』『死生観を問いなおす』『持続可能な福祉社会』(以上、ちくま新書)、『日本の社会保障』(第40回エコノミスト賞受賞)『定常型社会』『ポスト資本主義』(以上、岩波新書)、『生命の政治学』(岩波書店)、『ケア学』(医学書院)、『人口減少社会のデザイン』(東洋経済新報社)など多数。
