Publisher's summary

Tara McDermott needed a job, so she took the only thing available, cleaning house for the swoon-worthy actor and Hollywood bad boy Rick Shade. When he comes up with a crazy plan to tame his wild reputation by marrying her, she reluctantly agrees so she can pay off her debts and move her daughter back to the Midwest where life is simpler. If only he wouldn't make her heart pound every time he kisses her.

Rick's reputation is in the toilet and it's affecting his job. In order to get a good role, he needs to show Hollywood he's now a family man. After enticing Tara with a large sum of money to go through with the farce, he sets out to show the public he's in love. But Tara's soft lips keep calling to him and soon he doesn't know what's pretend and what's real.

Such a cute book!

I really liked the plot of this book and it was clean so that was a plus. This was the best book of the series. I thought Tara's daughter was adorable and it was heartwarming how she had an instant attachment to Rick. It was equally heartwarming how Rick interacted with her.
The narrator did a really good job at Kiley's voice!

a delightful story!

MY TAKE
I've really enjoyed the Married series by Liesky, and Acting Married was no exception. I enjoyed seeing Rick introduced to a different way of thinking and finding that he enjoyed it. I always like most the getting to know each other parts of these stories and the discovery, especially those things the character try to keep hidden.

The addition of Tara's sweet little daughter Rylie was a delight.

I listened to the audiobook, and the Kathleen Corbin did a great job!

Fun Easy Listen

Acting Married was a fun, easy to listen to story.
Pretending to be married and having great chemistry with each other proves to be an easy path to falling in love for real.

I really liked the series but this one was my favorite. Hope they make more books for the series.

Surprisingly Okay

Although the narration of this book was pretty bad, I still enjoyed this predictable romance story. I liked the characters but wish there had been more depth to them. Easy quick read if you have nothing better to do.

Dreadful Narrator

The woman who read this book did a terrible job! it was juvenile at best and pulled me completely out of the story. I may look for this book in Kindle so that I can finish it but I could not bear listening to anymore of this woman's amateur abilities.

Don't waste your time.

The story is stilted, not believable and forced.
The main male character absolutely exhibits alcoholic behaviour while the the writer insists through dialogue he isn't.
The narrator is absolutely horrible.
Couldn't even finish this its so bad.

such a missed opportunity

such a missed opportunity to give readers the fantasy of Hollywood and the reality of real life. the author misses all the fun of kids @ 4 years and can't seem to write about emotions. the only emotion the author writes about is anger, manipulation, and indifference. I couldn't hardly finish the book I was so bored.
