Since you were old enough to hold a job, you've been hoodwinked to believe that wealth can be created by blindly trusting in the uncontrollable and unpredictable markets: the housing market, the stock market, and the job market. I call this soul-sucking, dream-stealing dogma "The Slowlane" - an impotent financial gamble that dubiously promises wealth in a wheelchair. For those who don't want a lifetime subscription to "settle-for-less", there is an alternative.

Story
Data is fundamental to the modern world. From economic development, to healthcare, to education and public policy, we rely on numbers to allocate resources and make crucial decisions. But because so much data fails to take into account gender, treating men as the default and women as atypical, bias and discrimination are baked into our systems. And women pay tremendous costs for this bias in time, money, and often with their lives. Celebrated feminist advocate Caroline Criado Perez investigates the shocking root cause of gender inequality and research in Invisible Women.

Step-by-step approach
It is a very good book on budgeting. I liked the step-by-step approach taken by the authors. For the person who doesn't know much about budgeting, or the person who doesn't have a budgeting habit in place, following the steps outlined in this book would give you a very solid foundation.

Step-by-step process
It is a quick read giving the basics of how to budget in a step-by-step process. I found the sections on habit-stacking, breaking down large goals into smaller goals, and accountability, as things that are good for other areas of life as well. The authors also give a plethora of resources available online or otherwise to help with any financial issues one is dealing with.

Appreciating content!
What's cool about this book is that it makes things easy, first step is always hardest. They also give extra sheets to run your own numbers and work out your situation. Get it while it's on sale , even at a higher price worth it for the practical exercises. Appreciated the lack of fluff, just contains what you would need to get started on budgeting.

Provides actionable steps
If you want to finally get hold of your finances and are willing to take sound advice in actionable steps, this book will help you do exactly that. Liam S. Parker provides the tools you will need to get started and, more importantly, to get through that middle slog where it feels easier to quit than to continue. I firmly believe that habits are the flywheel of life, carrying you toward the goal when it just feels too hard.
