Publisher's summary

When Renaissance man and adventurer Chase Baker is contracted by a rich young rare book dealer to uncover seven metal Bible codices or books which rival the Dead Sea Scrolls in biblical historical significance, he also discovers that the seventh book is sealed with a metal not found on this Earth. A metal so impenetrable it can only be broken by God or Satan.

Whatever the case, the breaking of the seventh seal means one thing and one thing only: the end of the world as we know it. While Chase will stop at nothing to find the missing codices he discovers that the evil Soldiers of the Expected One, led by their leader Ansar Al-Mahdi, have taken possession of them so that they may find a way to break the seal and plunge the world into darkness.

Chase, along with a beautiful brunette New York City-based biblical history scholar named Magda, and an unruly team of Hasidic Jews, must defeat Mahdi before they can take possession of the books. They find themselves not only fighting the fierce evil force, they must scale Jerusalem's Old City walls, crawl down into the Western Wall foundations deep inside its tunnels, fight off all manner of prey and obstacles from giant spiders to the Israeli Army to evil Nazi zombies who rise up from the dead in the Valley of Magida in anticipation of the Second Coming and along with it, Armageddon.

Chase Baker and the Seventh Seal is a romantic, action-packed, alternative history, and thrilling conspiracy mystery for fans of Clive Cussler, Dan Brown, and JR Rain, from New York Times and USA Today best-selling author Vincent Zandri.

An Excellent Page Turner

There are currently ten books in the Chase Baker series. Book 9 is my first Chase Baker novel as well as my first novel by author, Vincent Zandri. I’m glad I came across this author because now I intend to read/listen to all of the other Chase Baker novels. Chase Baker is an Indiana Jones type of character that gets into Dan Brown, Da Vinci Code kinds of adventures. In book 9, Chase Baker is hired by a rich, rare book collector to find and retrieve seven sealed, metal bible codices. These codices turn out to be the same actual sealed codices referred to in the book of revelations from the bible. Add in giant spiders, the Israeli army, evil Nazi zombies, a sexy biblical history scholar and a radical fringe group hell bent on breaking open the seals to destroy the world and you’ve got the ingredients for a highly entertaining, fast-paced, page turner that is definitely worth your time.

People who are scholars or just something of a bible expert may find holes in the basic premise of the bad guy’s plan for opening the seventh seal. Even if you are one of those people, I think you will still be able to enjoy this book as a good story well told. Also, the narrator, Andrew B. Wehrlen adds to the overall experience by doing a wonderful job bringing the author's words to life.

Finally, this audio book was provided by the narrator in exchange for an honest review courtesy of Audio Book Boom.

A snarky fun adventure

Any additional comments?

Chase always manages to be able to find trouble. That is what makes the story fun. The snarkfest and crazy chases are all here. There is an artifact mystery to solve along side Britain's best that makes Chase irreverent and fun. The beginning of the story pulled me right in and I willing kept going to the end. This series just keeps getting better

Any additional comments?

Very entertaining, engaging and enjoyable. This whole series is absolutely worth your time and credit.

This is another great addition to the series. Once again the story pulls you right in and keeps your attention until the last sentence. This series just keeps getting better with each new installment. Even though this is book 9, it can be read as a standalone just like all the books in this series can be.

Even though all the books in the series are on the shorter side they read like full length stories. They flow smoothly, are full of detail, are fast paced and have the perfect mixture of action, suspense, mystery and humor.

Each situation Chase finds himself in is just as intriguing and adventurous as the one before and all you can do is hang on for the ride. Trouble just seems to find Chase. He's like a magnet. If there is a situation he ends up in the middle of it. That's what makes each story so fun.

Andrew B. Wehrlen once again does a fantastic job with the narration. He is the voice of this series and makes each story come alive through his narration. Great character voices and accents. Perfect delivery of the sarcasm and humor. Clearly spoken with a smooth even pace. This series wouldn't be the same without him as the narrator. Very enjoyable.

End of World ??

Great book, but a bit farfetched in a few spots. love the use of Scripture to tie story together. This the second Vincent Zandri book I listened to and don't understand his attachment to having Tarantulas in stories. Many twists and turns in the story. Would recommend to any reader who like action and adventure.

I love this series!!!!

Any additional comments?

I can't get enough of this series. Chase simply amazes me how he gets into and out of trouble. I love his sarcastic comebacks when he faces the bad guys. No complaints about the narrator. I really like his work and this one is no exception. I received this audio book for free through Audiobook Boom for my unbiased review.

As if Dan Brown wrote Supernatural

This book brings best of two worlds for me - scene building of dan brown novels and biblical supernatural elements from the tv show supernatural. The story was fast paced and there weren't any dull moment. I listened to the book start-to-finish in a single go.

Great suspense, action thriller

Chase Baker and the Seventh Seal
A Chase Baker Thriller, Book 9
By: Vincent Zandri
Narrated by: Andrew B. Wehrlen
I really like these books because they are action packed, has a touch of supernatural, suspense, and of course a little romance ( but the girl turns on him most of the time! Lol!) A mix of James Bond, Indiana Jones, and maybe Clive Cussler.
The narrator has the perfect voice for this series.

Get ready for a 9th Gate style experience

Any die hard Johnny Depp fan or someone who likes odd occult movies will have seen 9th Gate a story of a rare book dealer who is a bit
Unscrupulous (Johnny) who is pulled into a world of Intrigue, occult and demons in the quest of a rare occult
Book. This story reminds me much of that movie but with more action and a slightly less unscrupulous protagonist. Highly recommend the story. I'm
A late comer to the chase baker series and willBe looking for the others. This makes for a good standalone but probably would have had more depth if I had read the prior stories. I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher.

Wiil Chase Baker End the World or Save It, or Both

Once again Chase Baker is involved in legendary quest and this time it is of biblical proportions.
A collection of metal bound scrolls have been discovered, six are unlocked but the seventh still sealed. Is this the seventh seal that when opens the world will end. Chase Baker, that adventurous author, is commissioned to find and secure all seven books and bring the back from Jerusalem to the book dealer, Cross, in America.
You do have to suspend reality as this story rushes forward and remind yourself that this fiction loosely based on the biblical prophesy, That said just like an Indiana Jones’ Story, Get ready for a great ride.
