Isabel Stone wanted a normal life. But when the unexpected death of her father leaves her at the helm of the family business, things quickly go from weird to worse. Vampires are on the loose and out of the coffin, and only Isabel can walk the fine line between the world of the living and the world of the undead.
Torn between letting go of her past and embracing her future, Isabel will have to decide who she can trust, and be willing to use all the weapons at her disposal, to get to the bottom of a terrifying string of deaths that lead right to her doorstep - before she becomes the next victim. In a city where nothing is what it seems, ending up the target of a deranged killer might actually be the high point of her week. Because in this town, the things that go bump in the night...just might kill you.

Eight years ago I fell into a secret summer fling with my best friend’s little sister before our lives went in different directions. Now, I’m the grumpy to Juliet’s sunshine on a popular dating podcast we host, and when a wealthy fan gives us a charming coastal cottage as the biggest thank you ever, we head to the town where I grew up to give it a makeover. And find the house has only one bed. Located under a mirrored ceiling.

Cant wait for the Rest of this series
Its been awhile since a book of this type won me over but the one did so in spades. I highly recommend this book to adults young and old. The Narrator is very good and i look forward to listening to more of her work as is the Author.
The main characters are well rounded as is the fantasy world it takes place in.

Just found my new favorite series!
I was hooked right from the explosive start of this book. Smart, engaging story filled with interesting characters. The narrator was great, delivering a steady, consistent performance with voices distinct enough to easily follow the who was speaking when. I've just found my new favorite series - can't wait to listen to book 2!
