Hilarious Love

I can’t believe I bought this book and returned it, thank goodness I bought it again. Can I just say that Michael Ferraiuolo had me laughing out loud the way he brought the all the characters to life. Piper and Virginia wrote a very funny, steamy and touching shifter mpreg book that should not be missed.

Audiobook July 2019: ❤️⭐️👏🔥🥰🥰 I loved listening to this as much as much as I did reading it!!

I’ll be honest and say that it took me awhile to get used to the narration—I had other voices cast in my head. Once I let that cast go, I reveled in the narration and the story again!!!

The only downside is that I don’t have the next audiobook in the series at the ready!!

What a treat!

Omg, where has this book been all my life?! What a nice, unexpected surprise on all fronts. I initially had stayed away from Piper Scott because I associated her books with Susi Hawke’s....and I’ll be honest, I can’t make it through Hawke’s books without cringing. This book, however, was absolutely perfect and made doubly so with Michael Ferraiuolo’s narration. Excellent original storyline, low angst, equal shifter vs. human time, steamy, and so, so funny. It was my first time with Ferraiuolo as a narrator and he truly made this an experience. The voices were TOP NOTCH. I rate his performance in this book right up there with Michael Lesley’s performance in Klune’s Tales From Verania series. If you like shifter books with the mates trope, you will not regret this purchase!

What's not to absolutely LOVE about this story?

Dragons and Mpreg are not my usual listen, so I went into this one with a bit of trepidation and then.... BOOM!! It had me HOOKED HOOKED HOOKED from the first chapter, and I was up all night listening even though I had an early wake up call. I fell in love with not just the main characters, but the whole dragon family. Of course I had to get the second one, because what's not to love about these amazing Dragon's and their loves?

Wonderful story and narration!

Great narration- check! Great story - check! This story is filled with snark, shenanigans, magic, dragons, and just 100% FUN! I bought this solely to listen and enjoy repeatedly. I already got the books but audio is even better to do a re-read of sorts. Can't wait for Book 2 and 3. Totally recommended!

as good as the ebook

The story is always 4 or 5 stars, because if I wouldn't like the story as ebook, I wouldn't listen to the audiobook.

The performance from the narrator is also very important for me. I can't listen to a lot, because my English as a non-native-speaker isn't so perfect to follow a whole story over hours, when the narrator speaks too fast or too sloppy. Normally I have to SEE the person, who is talking to me in English. It took me a little bit, to come into the narrator, but at the end, it worked. I only have to take a few breaks between. I'm just not yet finish with the book, but I listen enough to give a review.

Loved It!

I loved this book from beginning to end! Nate and Alistair fit together so perfectly. They gave each other balance. I mean what could be better than dragons! BABY DRAGONS, that's what!!! There is such great dialogue in this story. Michael Ferraiulo does an amazing job of giving voice to these wonderful characters. LOVED IT!

I wish I could of given the narration more stars

The below review is very similar to the book review I posted. The audible version is so good, I think this may be the first time I’ve wanted to give more than 5 stars. Michael Ferraiuolo’s narration brought to life all the things I loved about the book. Alistair’s, Sebastian’s, and Everard’s snotty attitudes. Harry’s wonder and joy with life. Nate’s bemusement over EGGS. Really well done.

This book was a joy from beginning to end. Nate and Alistair so belonged together. Nate toned down Alastair’s want to be in control and Nate’s feisty personality came to the forefront in dealing with his mate.

The premise of the book is that dragons are (normal), eggs are (normal), mate bonds are (normal and so hot). So much happening in this book it’s hard not to give to much away.

The other characters are well fleshed out and added so much to the story. Even Olive the pig had a personality. However, Olive eating twice cooked pork is so not cool.

I enjoy Mpreg (even though this was very different). I’m very eager for the next book.

A Society of Dragons

Clutch is the first book in the Forbidden Desires series, and an amazing way to start a new series. The series is set within a world very similar to our contemporary world, however, within this universe there are alphas, betas, and omegas as well as a hidden dragon population.

The hidden dragon society have their own laws and social norms, and one of those rules is to not get a random omega pregnant without the approval of the dragon council. Alistair breaks that rule when he hooks up with Nate, aka Iggy, after matching on a dating app. Iggy has to figure out how the dragon world works while caring for his offspring and falling in love with Alistair. There is so much humor, snark, and incredibly sexy moments throughout this book. The writing combo of Piper Scott and Virginia Kelly is electric—they are both great writers on their own and together they have created a fascinating and enjoyable story.

The audiobook was narrated by Michael Ferraiuolo who did a fantastic job. I love Michael’s voice and always enjoy his audiobook performances. He really nailed the personalities of each character and I was totally engaged with the story. The audiobook production was well done and I enjoyed this book immensely.
