Publisher's summary

Risa Chandler's prescient dreams of death and murder haunted her nights. They also proved invaluable for Adam Raiker's brilliant team of forensic criminologists, the Mindhunters, until a tragic end to one case shattered Risa's confidence and drove her into seclusion. But for Risa, there's no hiding from death - or from her dreams.

Another goodie. Still not fond of narrator

The narrator is still bugging me, making women’s d secondary characters sound apologetic and whiny.

Story good!

Enjoyed it!

I would have enjoyed it more but I had a tough time keeping up with all the different characters! There were periods that I feel asleep in the beginning. Overall it was good though.

Slow start.

The story was a bit slow to begin with but started warming up and became very exciting. A good read. And the voice actor is great.

Dreaming of Death

Risa Chandler has always dreamed of death and more particularly murder. Until a recent case took a tragic turn she used her 'gift' for good working for Adam Raiker. Now burnt out and in seclusion she is drawn back in by Adam and haunted by visions of death by ritual fire.

Philadelphia homicide detective Nate McGuire is a born skeptic but a desperate one. To catch a sadistic killer he would work with the Devil or a gorgeous, broken women who dreams of death. The Devil might be safer...

I loved this book Nate and Risa are dynamite together, the killer is one seriously twisted individual and we get more Adam Raiker. What's not to love....

Overcoming setbacks

It's a good story and series. The transitions between scenes can be hard to follow. Both from writting and the narrator.

LOVED DEADLY DREAMS!

Another twisting, guessing who-dun-it by Kylie Brant!

As always a little hard to keep track of the many characters (but they all come together in the end) and as always, the “culprit…” it’s never who you think it is!

In some ways these stories are formulaic. Tough, independent, yet hurt and vulnerable female main character who doesn’t want any kind of relationship. Tough male main character — doesn’t necessarily want a “relationship” either; he’d be perfectly happy with just sex. UNTIL he starts to see the real person, not just the outer body and hard edges to the woman he’s been thrown in with whether he likes it or not.

Pretty much the same here, but the two main characters, Reisa and Nate and the multiple murders they are trying to solve are all very well-developed and likable. I always tell myself I’m going to make each of these books last TWO dats, but I get sucked in and gobble them up in one day, and then feel disgusted with myself over my lack of willpower.😂

As always, the FABULOUS Bronson Pinchot gives a stellar performance as the narrator. He is a MASTER with voices and accents. He’s one of very few male narrators I’ve heard in over 300 books that can do female voices that are believable and not painful or cringeworthy when listening to. Even his street slang was good in this book (and had me laughing in some places).

As much as I love this man and his work, someone PLEASE tell Mr. Pinchot that the word “dour” should sound like “do-wer,” not “DOOR,” and the word, “forte,” should sound like “fort-eh,” not “FORT.” I know these are small things, but they happened often enough to get on my nerves.

Having said this, these few picky things are a very small price to pay in exchange for the pleasure of listening to the rest of his work. The man is BRILLIANT.💕

Thank you Ms. Brant and Mr. Pinchot for this book — it was devilishly good! I don’t have any idea what I will read after I finish the Mindhunter books.🙀. I’m off now to begin Book 6 in the series. I am excited about Book 6 because some of my favorite characters from previous books make a reappearance in this upcoming book and we finally get to know more about Adam Reiger, the brains behind the Mindhunters firm; all from his past that has formed who he is and what drives him. CAN’T WAIT!

My favorite Mind Hunters book so far!

While I've enjoyed all the books in this series so far, the first was my favorite...until this book. I enjoyed the complexity of the story and the twists. The complications within the relationships added more depth to the overall story as well. So glad I discovered this series!

Enjoyed the thrill of the chase tracking down the allusive serial killer. The dream element added an extra thrill.

Same story, different crime

A crime happens. Gorgous intelligent woman with past trauma is assigned to work with gorgeous intelligent man with past trauma. Neither wants a relationship. While solving the crime they fall in love and have sex. Applies to all books in this series.
