Theresa Révay est née à Paris. Après des études de lettres, elle s’oriente vers la traduction de romans anglo-saxons et allemands, et publie deux romans, L’Ombre d’une femme, La Table Ronde (1988), et L’Ouragane, Tsuru Éditions (1990). Son premier roman historique, Valentine ou le Temps des adieux, paraît aux éditions Belfond en 2002, suivi en 2005 de Livia Grandi ou le Souffle du destin, pour lequel elle sera finaliste du prix des Deux-Magots 2006. Ses deux derniers romans, La Louve blanche et Tous les rêves du monde, ont été traduits en huit langues et ont été de grands succès en Europe (plus de 300 000 exemplaires vendus). Theresa Révay s’impose aujourd’hui comme l’une des romancières majeures de grandes fresques historiques.
