With more than 25 published novels to her credit, Carly Phillips has watched her steamy contemporary romances climb to the top of the USA Today, New York Times, and Publishers Weekly best-seller lists. The follow-up to her hit Serendipity, Destiny tells the tale of Nash Barron and Kelly Moss. Nash can’t help his attraction to Kelly, but he knows pursuing her could cost him his relationship with his newly discovered teenage half-sister. Meanwhile, Kelly has her own reasons for keeping her distance - a secret Nash would never forgive.

I liked the book but....

What was up with the Minnesota accents? This is supposed to be based in NY and completely drove me crazy😂

Destiny

Nash Barron and Kelly Moss are quite a pair and even though he tries to stay away they are destined to be together. Fate has a way of bringing them together and healing the past with the brothers. Twists from the past have a way of coming back but they also have a way working out.

Boring

I thought this book would be good because I had to pay for it. Others in the series are free and they were better. Oh well.

Cute stories within one book

I like that there were multiple stories within the same book. It didn’t draw out one long relationship. The thing I struggled with is only having one narrator. The narration she gave was good, but when it came to the dialogue, it made it really hard to listen. The number one thing that stood out is that they’re in New York, not Minnesota, so the accents were way off. Also, I would have read the feelings if reading the book much differently than she expressed them. Overall, I recommend reading the book, rather than listening to it.

Bad performance

Celeste was not a good voice. I wish there had been a man’s voice also.

Accents were terrible

I loved the storyline. However, the performance was not the best. The accent of one character made me cringe every time it was her line. It was hard to listen to at times.

Terrible accents

Accents were extremely distracting. Why does a person from upstate NY have a MN accent?

The worst narration ever

What disappointed you about Destiny?

I couldn't listen to the entire story because the narration was so awful. Her depiction of the women's voices would have been better if done by Snookie.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of Celeste Ciulla?

Ugh
