Publisher's summary

Ink and sawdust meets brisket and moxie.

I’m a tattooed casualty.
A charmer, a fraud, a skeptic, and a carpenter.

My name is Tse.
I’m cocky enough to believe my own lies, but too oblivious to see the truth is already out there.

I’m a cautious perfectionist.
A sister, a scrapper, a dreamer, and a workhorse.

My name is Sophia.
I’m capable enough to plan ahead, yet too powerless to avoid getting blindsided.

We’re complete opposites—one who plays it safe, the other a thrill-seeker—but when old sins resurface bringing violence to the present, our path forward becomes clear.

Love Tse and Sophia

I loved Tse story. Have been looking forward to it since we met Sophia. She gets invited back to work for the Arrows Edge MC working at one of their restaurants. At first Tse is determined to stay away but at the same time is drawn to her. When trouble starts to take place where she is working, he decides he is going to make sure she is covered. I loved these two. One of my favorite couples so far in this series. I think Luna and Ouray are still my top (read highway 550). All of these stories and the rock point drive are great. Cant wait for more. The narrators did a great job on this story. This is the first time I have heard them read and really enjoyed it.

Great addition to the series

Well written. Well told. The one thing that bugged me to no end was how the two narrators said Tse's name. one said Tsay the other Tsee through the entire book. 100% lazy producing.

Love-Love-LOVE this story and the characters!

I find myself saying this more and more about this authors work. LOVE-LOVE-LOVE!! These characters are simply amazing! I enjoyed watching Tse make changes in his life as realization hits that he found his girl. He says so many wonderful comments and thoughts about his feelings and actions. Sophia has plans and they dont include Tse. But the club and other areas conspire against her. Sadly Danger lurks in her future

I HAVE to mention the secondary characters in this one! They really add to the story and made me laugh at times and others *feel* for them. A momma, a boy and a dog…those three were my favorites

I did listen to this on audio. Alan Carlson and Amy Deuchler are the narrators. They both do amazing but Alan as a gruff older man is HOT!
I look forward to more in this series.

Awesome Listen!

Freya Barker is an extremely talented author. I love how she develops the characters, and has them seem very realistic. This book is both a standalone and continuation of the series. Both Amy Deuchler and Alan Carlson brought the characters to life with their voices. I so enjoyed this book.

Fabulously Compelling & Heartfelt! Excellent🎧📚 🎧

I would love to say that this series gets better and better but that would not be giving the earlier books the praise they deserve because they are all amazing, the characters and their storylines. Freya Barker has become one of my favorite authors, I love her writing style and how realistic and relatable her characters are and everything they go through. She created something special when she created the Arrow’s Edge MC, I love the club dynamics and camaraderie amongst its members. This fourth book is Tse and Sophia’s story and I adored and admired both characters, Sophia for her strength and determination and Tse for being Tse, a swoon worthy player and a bossy alpha, who hides his heart and his scars well. Sophia is fairly new to Durango, circumstances brought her to the Arrow’s Edge, and she is staying to be near her friend’s son, Finn, and got a job running one of the club’s restaurants. She not only captured Tse’s attention but his brother’s too, he did not want to start a riff with his brother so he stayed away, but it wasn’t necessary since she only saw his brother in a brotherly way. She also did not want to get involved with another bossy man she had left one years ago when she was living in Denver. It was a pleasure to watch these two go back and forth with each other, the chemistry between them is undeniable and they could only deny each other for so long. And then when suspicious activity goes down and one of the restaurant workers is beaten, Tse gets all protective, but Sophia does not let that stop her from what she wants to do and Tse has to deal with that. I loved how everything played out in this book, it is a wonderfully plotted story with many layers, besides the romance storyline and the thrilling suspense we get more of Tse’s backstory and the storyline of Ravi, a boy the Arrow’s Edge took in, another thing that makes that MC unique and special is how they help children in need. This romantic suspense has the perfect balance of romance, heartfelt emotions, twists and turns, thrilling suspense, and a steamy romance. Freya Barker, thank you for another amazing story and the thrilling and emotional rollercoaster ride.

🎧📚🎧 And for the wonderful narration, Amy Deuchler and Alan Carlson are talented narrators and versatile voice artists. They do a fabulous job portraying the characters, giving each a voice that fits their character’s persona perfectly and are believable in every role they played. Carlson’s Tse was spot on, grasped his swoon worthy alpha-bossy-tude and his soft caring side with ease. Deuchler played Sophia with perfection too, grasping all sides of her personality. Both were great at performing the various roles of the secondary characters too. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the character’s emotions and projected them into their performance. These entertaining storytellers are a pleasure to listen to, and their narration enhanced an already fantastic story to another level. Thank you for the great listen.

When your past comes back to haunt you

I was surprised and yet not surprised that these two ended up together. Tse is always willing to help anyone out that needs it. Sophia is pretty much starting over. She lost her best friend in the previous book and has bonded with her baby. When trouble hits, will Tse be able to save her and not have any guilt about why it happened? His past will come back to haunt them. Will they be able to move on from it?

I'm not usually a fan of MC stories. They're just not my thing. But I have enjoyed this series. Yeah, they're a little rough around the edges, but they are a family and they are there when you need them. This series has opened my mind to trying more series like this.

The two narrators, Alan Carlson and Amy Deuchier, are not names I am familiar with. I know they've done a few books in this series and I have enjoyed their voices. I need to search them out and see what else they have done.

love this series

A troubled man, a troubled boy, Sophia came into their lives and turned their world upside down. This series gets better with each story. The characters are all interconnected within this series.
Freya Barker has a way with developing the characters and romance in her stories. A combination of intrigue, danger, revenge, secrets, enough to keep th is story interesting. A story of finding love. The secrets surrounding his past, comes to put Sophia in danger , it leads to illegal drugs investigation, that puts them all in danger
Alan Carlson and Amy Deuchler narration is phenomenal. their portrayal of all characters is very good. I was gifted this audio and offered my honest review

Tse & Sophia(&Ravi!)

There is something special about the way Freya Barker writes her stories. Several things come to mind immediately for me. I know her characters are going to have depth, she is going to have a plot that has some meat to it and a a love story woven in to fill my heart. This one is no exception. Sophia has come to town to be near Finn, her friend's son. After failed relationships she is trying to start over and has been given a job by the Arrow's Edge MC to run one of the restaurants. Tse, alpha protector has taken a shine to the woman, but has held back a little. Now he is all in and making his claim. But Sophia is feisty and independent, and doesn't take to the over protectiveness that Tse offers. The banter between these two is fun, and definite foreplay! Chemistry galore these two are meant to be together. But danger is lurking, and between home and the restaurant, Tse's mission is to keep her safe. Will he be able to do it? Plus we have the addition of Ravi, a boy with a troubled past that Tse can easily relate to. These two together is enough to melt my heart. He comes to play an important role in this makeshift family, but he too has found himself in middle of it all. I love how Barker has the MC envelop all who come to be part of the "family". There is nothing they won't do for each other, and it is a great escape to listen to. Loved this 4th installment of the series, and do hope it continues!

Amy Deuchler and Alan Carlson are our storytellers, and together they bring this story to life. Deuchler has a warmth to her voice that I love. She creates Sophia with spunk and independence, yet with a big heart. Carlson is a favorite of mine, and he nails Tse. The protective alpha comes easy, and he can bring the ruthfulness out and in the next scene be a teddy bear. Loved the narration and the story.
