Publisher's summary

The man who brought the kavorka to the Seinfeld show through one of the most remarkable and beloved television characters ever invented, Kramer, shares the extraordinary life of a comedy genius—the way he came into himself as an artist, the ups and downs as a human being, the road he has traveled in search of understanding.

“The hair, so essential, symbolizes the irrational that was and is and always will be the underlying feature not only of Kramer but of comedy itself. This seemingly senseless spirit has been coursing through me since childhood. I’ve been under its almighty influence since the day I came into this world. I felt it all within myself, especially the physical comedy, the body movements, so freakish and undignified, where I bumped into things, knocked stuff down, messed up situations, and often ended up on my ass.

“This book is a hymn to the irrational, the senseless spirit that breaks the whole into pieces, a reflection on the seemingly absurd difficulties that intrude upon us all. It’s Harpo Marx turning us about, shaking up my plans, throwing me for a loop. Upset and turmoil is with us all the time. It’s at the basis of comedy. It’s the pratfall we all take. It’s the unavoidable mistake we didn’t expect. It’s everywhere I go. It’s in the way that I am, both light and dark, good and not-so-good. It’s my life.”—Michael Richards, from Entrances and Exits

Disappointed it didn’t fold out to a coffee table!

I may never buy another audiobook that’s not read by the author. What a great listen! His Seinfeld stories were great. His childhood is interesting. His unabashed retelling of the meltdown on the stand up stage was fantastic. If you’re a Seinfeld fan; I can’t recommend enough. If you’re not; I can’t recommend this enough. Side note: His Jay Leno voice is dead-on.

Michael is a seeker

He wrote so elegantly about his journey to find himself and where he belonged , now we know!

So much POW! Mind blowing, and an inside scoop of the life of Michael Richards. A MUST CHECK OUT!!!

This is a must read about the life of Michael Richards, the man behind many faces including Cosmo Kramer. This book had many ups and downs and really just mind blowing stories, so far chapter 15: The Truth was so raw that I even cried, that one was deep. Chapter 24: The Coming Home was so good and heartfelt. The infamous Chapter 27: Not Funny took more of an inside scoop of the incident and the aftermath. And last but not least Chapter 31: The Light was just amazing. Like really this is a must read and I hope to see Michael Richards one day just to shake his hand and thank him for this book. He really went outta the ballpark with this one. <3

Phenomenal

Great insight on his journey, and his entrances and exits. Who knew he was in the Army?

Outstanding!

I am not sure what I expected from this book. I laughed at all the characters in Seinfeld, but at Krammer the most. I hoped to revisit some of those laughs in the book, and wasn't disappointed, but what I learned was about Michael Richard's. He is a complicated, dedicated, gifted man. I hated to see the book end.

We love you michael!

I am so happy he wrote this. I love that Jerry and Michael read their parts instead of someone else. Very interesting info. I loved Jerry's intro and his love and support of Michael. Two of the best commedians to ever live.

The K Man Returns

An avid Seinfeld fan, I was always curious about Michael’s story and this was incredible. His performance reading the text was like an old friend coming back to tell you the story of his adventure. Glad to hear he is at peace and enjoying life again.

Pretty Woowoo, but still quite good

Got tired of the “out there” stuff, but the rest was interesting enough to keep going.
