En el libro sigue habiendo demasiadas historietas, excesos y fabulaciones, que por desgracia también recogen algunas fuentes antiguas y que, sin espíritu crítico, no hacen más que deformar aún más el conocimiento ya muy sesgado de la realidad de la antigua Roma.
la Damnatio memoriae que muchos emperadores sufrieron de manos el Senado y que la propia Roma sufrió de manos de las culturas posteriores, tienen sus mejores propagandistas en historietadores como el autor de este libro.
