Food for the soul…

Listened to this during a fast, made me feel as if my spirit & soul was about to burst with fullness. Depth, humbleness, courage & truth are ingrained in this book.

Inspirational

Spurgeon teaches the Word of God in love and unpoligetically. He lived Jesus Christ and his teachings reflect it so powerfully.

Equally inspirational as convicting

This is my first (non sermon) book by Spurgeon. I already know I need to hear it again. There is a great mix of practical and motivational data here. My favorite take away is that one need not serve in any specific way so long as one strives to serve Christ. Serve. Speak the gospel. God will do what he wishes through you. That is the message I hear in this book, and it calls me to answer. A more detailed review to post on my blog in time.

Excellent Read, full of scripture, and knowledge

Loved it! Listened to the book while cleaning and doing the laundry throughout the day. As l started fixing dinner for the family; before I knew it I had finished the entire book. Definitely plan to listen again!
