Publisher's summary

Jack looked up at the giant, dead body brazenly hung on the quaint Welcome to Darrington sign. He turned to the town's mayor. "Mayor Lewis, when you said people had nothing to fear, it pricked the killer's vanity. He's using this latest victim to send you a message: be afraid. Be very afraid - of him. If you want to catch this serial killer, you need to feed his ego. Tell the people he's right. They should be scared - no one's safe while he controls the town."

Rogue hero Jack Stratton is back in another action-packed, thrilling adventure. While recovering from a gunshot wound and the loss of his job on the police force, Jack's romance with feisty Alice (aka Replacement) continues to develop. When Alice gets a seemingly harmless private investigation job - locate the owner of a lost dog - Jack grudgingly assists. Little do they know it will place them both in the crosshairs of a merciless serial killer.

Gotta Love Jack (and Alice)!

This book, like all in the Jack Statton series is awesome. The combination of suspense, humor, and twist and turns is very enjoyable. The narration is good and the reader does a great job switching between characters. This is the perfect book to listen to while walking. I can't wait to see how life continues for Jack, Alice, and Lady.

Very suspenseful-Good, light,fast paced mystery...

What made the experience of listening to Jack and the Giant Killer: Detective Jack Stratton Mystery Thriller Series the most enjoyable?

This was a very good almost police procedural, since Jack is no longer on the police force. Although he still has friends on the force, it's not the same.

What about Andrew Tell’s performance did you like?

I thought Andrew Tell did a great job narrating this and all of the other books in this series.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

Yes, and I did! In one day anyway.

Any additional comments?

I really enjoyed this book. It starts with a murder and a dog's thoughts since it is her owner who is murdered. But he's not the first and won't be the last. Jack's roommate/partner is hired to find the owner of the dog when she tries to enter the woman's home. The dog is a giant. It seems her owner was also.
Jack and Alice (Replacement) turn over every possible stone and of course the last person they (or I) suspected is the murderer.
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

I love this series!

Jack and the Giant Killer is book 4 in the Jack Stratton series. For those new to the series listen to book 6, And Then She Was Gone, first. It is not as good as the others but it does provide helpful background. Then move on to Girl Jacked and read the rest in order. The protagonist is Jack Stratton, but the co-protagonist, a girl named Alice but called by her nickname Replacement, is the most interesting character in the series. Book 5 has not yet been released in audio, but I hope it will be soon. Also, author Christopher Greyson should continue the series with book 7. The novels in this series have intense suspense, are fast paced and are fun. The Jack Stratton series deserves a larger audio audience than it currently has (the Kindle audience for the series is much larger).

This suspense mystery series is so good that I regret being limited to 5 stars in rating it. The narration of Andrew Tell is is good as the novels.
