Fresh off solving a murder that hit too close to home, Mack's trust is shattered. But when Milwaukee Police Detective Duncan Albright asks for her help with a shooting, she can't resist using her extra-perceptive senses to benefit others.
It turns out the victim was the ruthless businessman their friend Mal was investigating undercover. And now Mal is missing - and his fingerprints are on the gun. Was his cover blown, forcing him into hiding? Or could he be a straight-up killer on the run?
Mack doesn't know what to believe anymore - except her own gut, which leads her to secret rooms, shocking revelations...and the fear that this could be her final round.

Story
Shy, but scrupulous, he is happy working as a coroner in the Cologne morgue - until one of his usually taciturn “clients” starts talking to him. It seems the ghost of a recently deceased (and surprisingly chatty) small-time car thief named Pascha is lingering near his lifeless body in drawer number four of Martin’s morgue. He remains for one reason: his accidental death was actually murder. Pascha isn’t too keen on the good doctor, considering the tidy manner in which his body was dissected upon the autopsy table.

It was inescapably chilling, as if the murderer was methodically working his way down a page torn from the phone book. The three victims brutally killed in their own homes had one thing in common: They were all listed as M. Douglas. The fact that Mara Douglas is next on the list has her jumping at shadows, until FBI agent Aidan Shields shows up to make sure she doesn't become the fourth victim.

Ptedictable
I enjoyed Allyson Abbott’s previous book, so I thought I would give Last Call a try. I felt there was too many long and unnecessary descriptions of certain situations. I had a hard time gluing the two crimes together seamlessly. Too long, predictable and sappy.

Enjoyable
As much as I love all five books, I don’t like the fact that Mack’s abilities had to be repeated in the first 2 chapters of each book after the first one. It got a bit boring listening to Mack’s abilities in the beginning of each book but once you got past it in the first 2 chapters, you were back on track with the story line and plot twists. All 5 books were excellent to listen to.

Great series
Loved this book, Loved this series. All the books in this series keep you guessing who and how they committed the crime. And the human side of the story is great

Superb
Another great book! I love all the characters, how the bar group acts as her extended family, I love all of the quirky synesthesia episodes throughout and the addition of Felicity was wonderful.
