Publisher's summary

On account of the superficial points of agreement between Islam and Christianity, many don't see how tremendously deep the divides between them really are, and fewer still have considered the evidence for each faith. How is jihad different from the Crusades? Can we know the life of Jesus as well as the life of Muhammad? What reason is there to believe in one faith over the other, and what difference can the Gospel really make?

In No God but One, New York Times best-selling author Nabeel Qureshi takes listeners on a global, historical, yet deeply personal journey to the heart of the world's two largest religions. He explores the claims that each faith makes upon believers' intellects and lives, critically examining the evidence in support of their distinctive beliefs. Fleshed out with stories from the annals of both religions, No God but One unveils the fundamental enduring conflict between Islam and Christianity - directly addressing controversial topics like jihad, the Crusades, Sharia, the Trinity, and more.

Listeners of Qureshi's first book, Seeking Allah, Finding Jesus, will appreciate his careful and respectful comparison of Islam and Christianity. Both religions teach that there is No God but One, but who deserves to be worshiped, Allah or Jesus?

His performance of the book is spot on, hitting the right inflection at just the right time. Thank you Nabeel for writing a much needed book in our world today.

very good insight on how a Muslim looks at Christ

this was a very good deep dive into the differences between Christianity and Muslim and what a Muslim thinks about when you say Christ and the difference is between the Christian God and the Muslim God. this is a very good book and very useful information.

What a wonderful book!

Like the Title suggests, this book is about one of the big, maybe the biggest, Religious questions of current times; Allah, or Jesus- a subject that is highly debated, but only one option is correct- Which one?

The book is simply overflowing with a love for believers of both religions, while at the same time, it relentlessly pursues the truth. I highly recommend this book for anyone who is on a search for truth, or has a friend that is. Also to those that simply want to understand people of the other religion better. It was definitely worth the credit and the time I spent listening to it.

Excellently researched and explained

The author demonstrated a logical and scientific approach to comparing the authenticity of the two religions and their foundations.

Detailed, well informed and engaging

I will start by acknowledging that this is an obviously controversial topic. I did not read this book for ammunition against my numerous Muslim friends but out of genuine interest for the case for and against the various historic and theological criticisms that fly both directions between these two great faiths. In that respect the author more than delivered. His perspective is openly biased but is well informed and at least sympathetic on a human level to those who are members of both camps.

I would have appreciated a little more specific coverage of a few points, most specifically his assertion that mathematical patterns and prophecies similar to those cited within the Quran can be found in other works. He mentions Moby Dick in this section but does not go as far as I would like.

Overall though the book is well organized, easy to follow, thorough, and engaging to those with a genuine interest. Presented well with no significant mispronunciations I can cite.

Exceptional, Eye-Opening, Real

The way Nabeel manages to debate such problematic issues and to answer them with such precise and logical facts is truly amazing. I was going through a period of doubt regarding Christianity, as well as through a period of Islamic influence that I got from my boss and my colleagues at work. Since the former situation introduced the latter, I was on a quest to discover Islam and did not mind leaving Christianity. My only concern was being able to follow the right God. On one side, the Bible says that whoever believes in Jesus will win eternal life. On the other side, the Qu'ran says that there is only one God and that Christians and Jews are not going to heaven because of their beliefs. All I wanted was to find out the truth, regardless of whether I had to renounce my religion and proclaim a new one for myself. Then I found out about this book, which gave me so much evidence and answered all the questions that I had along reading it. It even proved that my doubts about Islam were real. And it enforced the beliefs that I already had. It taught me a lot about the history of religions too, so I gained more than what I was looking for from this book. I was sad to hear that Nabeel died last year, as I intended to ask further questions through email. All in all, it was a wonderful first experience on Audible!
