Story
The doorbell rings, just days after my beloved husband’s sudden death. I don’t recognise the woman on our doorstep, with her blonde highlights, a diamond bracelet identical to my own and a bouncing baby boy in her arms. As I show her inside, I notice her eyes grow wide as she takes in our spacious hallway, and the big squashy sofas that we all used to pile on. She glances at the silver-framed family photos and my little daughter hiding behind my skirts. She looks at me, her blue eyes serious. ‘I’m sorry’ she says. ‘I am your husband’s girlfriend. And this is his son.'

The white-washed Italian villa is perfect. I thought it might feel odd, living in a stranger’s house for the summer, but as my husband and children swim in the infinity pool, I start to relax. And then, in the back of a wardrobe, I find something that shatters everything.... Sparkling green eyes, square jaw, lopsided smile. A young man with his arm around a beautiful woman. The picture is old and faded, but I’d recognize him anywhere. The man is my husband.

It’s hard meeting your ex after so much time apart. You remember the tears and accusations, the desperate look on his face as he punched the wall, but you try not to show it. You smile politely, even while your heart beats faster. You watch as he looks down into the stroller, at the beautiful blond-haired, blue-eyed baby kicking his little legs in the sunshine, whose innocent smile lights up your world. You see his face change. You know what he’s thinking. The next day he calls. His voice is shaking. He wants the truth. Is it his child?

UrbanMyth: It was lauded as an alternative to the performative, show-your-best-self platforms—an anonymous discussion board grouped by zip code. The residents of Manhattan’s exclusive Upper East Side disclosed it all, things they would never share with their friends or their spouses: secret bank accounts, steamy affairs, tidbits of juicy gossip. So when a “hacktivist” group breaks into the forum and exposes the real identity of each poster, the repercussions echo down Park Avenue with a force that none could have anticipated.

Publisher's summary
Don’t miss this brilliantly twisty new thriller perfect for fans of Lisa Jewell.
Both of them loved him. One of them killed him....
Louise has had to watch her husband, Andrew, start a new family in the four years since he left her. The ‘other woman’ is now his wife - but Louise isn’t ready to let Caz enjoy the life that was once hers or to let go of the man she still loves.
As Louise starts to dig into Caz’s past, the two women’s pretence of civility starts to slip. But in trying to undermine each other, they discover more about the man they both married. And when Andrew is murdered at a family party, both women are found standing over the body.
It’s always the wife. But which one?
Critic reviews
"One in Three is just fantastic - complex, intriguing, fast-paced, with a brilliant, compelling cast. I loved it!" (Alex Lake)
"More chilling than Gone Girl and twistier than The Girl on the Train." (Jane Green)
"Dark, twisty and addictive." (Lisa Jewell)

Attention keeper
Many characters but well put together. It was a nice get away from reality. First loves, heartaches, lies, more lies and twist of an ending.

Exceptionally Great ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This ranks among the top ten in my audible book library. The plot was interesting with some impressive drama. You name it, it is in this novel. And it occurs naturally. The women are believable and hilarious as they try to outwit the other. The three generations of women and how they interact with each other is pure genius. The narration was also very good. I plan to listen to this story again because it is that good.

Stay with it! So good!
At first I had a hard time knowing who was who, but after a bit it was easy. It had me guessing til the very end, and the ending was AWESOME! Totally worth the Audible point. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m going to read it again!

Such a good story
Such a great story. I honestly love this book and recommend highly. Pulls you in from the beginning. The narration is good and the story itself constantly keeps you guessing as to who you can trust.

Kept me guessing
Very interesting listen which kept me guessing the whole way through. The story was interesting enough that I didn't wish to just skip to the end. Great characters that you can understand.
