Publisher's summary

From the bestselling author of The Ravenhood Trilogy comes an angsty, steamy journey filled with love, loss, and self discovery.

Thirty years ago, my father became the other half of a broken love story.

A relationship he’s kept hidden for decades.

Upon unearthing his secret through a series of emails in our paper’s archives, I began my search for the truth. Haunted by my father’s love story, and in my quest for answers, I never imagined I would discover a love of my own. Or that my love for Easton Crowne would be key in discovering the reason behind what split our parents up.

Doomed from the start and knowing the havoc our relationship would inevitably wreak on our families, I could never have prepared for the toll it would take or the cost of the truth.

But in order to find our ending, we had to go back to their beginning.

My name is Natalie Butler, and this is my star-crossed love story.

Listen to "Drive" First, but DO NOT MISS "Reverse"

In the first installment of Kate Stewart's Bittersweet Symphony, "Drive", main character Stella Emerson, tells her story as she grows from a college student sleeping on her sister's couch to award-winning columnist and music critic, and her relationship with Nate Butler, her first editor, and Reid Crown, struggling drummer whom she helped discover, and whose band has become internationally known.. "Reverse" picks up the story three decades after "Drive" began. Nate Butler's daughter, Natalie, an up-and-coming journalist and editor, discovers e-mails between her father and Stella Emerson Crown and realizes that the two had been engaged. She's pulled into their story, and her obsession induces her to contact Easton Crown, son of Stella and Reid, and, as they say, therein lies the tale. "Drive" was one of those stories that stuck with me. I both read and listened to the audiobook several times, but I think "Reverse" is better. Joe Arden and Maxine Mitchell's narration was breathtaking. They have my vote, hand's down, for best narration of the genre this year. I'd give them ten stars if I could. I stayed up until 4:00 a.m. to listen to them, and I'd read the book, so I knew what was coming. I generally avoid rock band romances, but these books are so much more. Worth it just for the great narration, but you can't go wrong with a Kate Stewart story.

Absolutely loved it

I have been patiently waiting for the audiobook to drop and the narration did not disappoint. Joe and Maxine were absolutely perfect for this beautiful story. I have listened to drive several times and that and this story will forever hold a special place for one of the best books by the super talented skate Stewart. She has a way that engulfs her readers into her stories. Thank you to everyone that had a hand in making this audiobook, it’s truly amazing

This Duet

Drive has been my favorite book since I first picked it up years ago. Reverse was the perfect addition. Kate Stewart did these characters justice in a way that is just pure perfection. The narrators brought this story to life in a way they always do! Read/listen to these stories you are SERIOUSLY missing out if you don’t.

Can you go wrong with Kate, Joe, and Maxine?

Listen to me carefully... get a warm beverage... clear your schedule... and listen to this book immediately.

Let's get to the story. Kate took this story to an entirely new level with Natalie's story. It is a very nontypical sequel and I appreciated that so much.

Things I loved: The soundtrack, LL not being a cliche, the scenes in Dallas and Fort Worth, the consistency of Joel, and that Nate got his 30 seconds of fame in the Epilogue.

The characters were easy to love. Natalie is strong and passionate. Easton is emotional and broody in the best ways.

I loved everything about this book... but let's be honest... If Joe Arden read Paradise Lost aloud, I would listen. He can do no wrong.

not what you think!

I'm always skeptical of part 2 especially since I LOVE Drive. But this story stood alone but also was a great reference to Drive. When I thought I knew where the story was going Kate took a hard left turn. I cried, I smiled and now I'm going to listen to the entire chapter playlist. Also Maxine and Joe...10/10.
