WOO HOO 6 IS HERE BUT BOO HOO COZ I'VE FINISHED IT

I could ramble and gush on and on about just how awesome the world-building, multi-layered, action-packed plot it was - which was riddled with funny, witty, gripping, entertaining, sexy, passionately, tender, torturous scenes. Then, as the hours tick by, you encounter some magical, scarred, interesting, sexy (I know I said it twice but it's sooo important), likeable, vengeful, evil or just plain loveable characters who all inhabit this listen and they will mesmerise, entertain and capture your imagination right from the first chapter....... okay okay I'm rambling and gushing now!

But basically there are just 3 really good reasons why you should download this book right now - and they are:-

1) It was written by Kresley Cole - a gifted and talented author

2) It's narrated by Robert Petkoff - simply THE best narrator that Audible's got

3) It's only $9.89 for 12 hours, yes under $10 for 12 heavenly hours of paranormal perfection

We need the rest of the series # 7 ,8,9 so on

I love this series but I'm not going to listen out of order. Audible is jumping all over the place, I don't know about the rest of you but I like to listen in order. Great series if you can wait for the all the books, but # 13 coming out with all the rest missing isn't smart on audibles part. I'll wait for the rest to come in I hope they do it soon, here's the list in order in case you want to get the paper back.

The Warlord Wants Forever
A Hunger Like No Other
No Rest for the Wicked
Wicked Deeds on a Winter’s Night
Dark Needs at Night’s Edge
Dark Desires After Dusk
Kiss of A Demon King
Deep Kiss of Winter
Pleasure of a Dark Prince
Demon from the Dark
Dreams of a Dark Warrior

It doesn't get any Better than this for me.

Kresley Cole really hits her stride when she writes the two stories about the Woede. Robert Petkoff is genius with the British and Australian accents. He narrated Josh Bazell's book and you cannot imagine the range until you hear the difference. This story has such great chemistry between the two protagonists. It just makes me want more. Even though I own the books in print I had to get the audio and wow I cannot believe the price. Amazes me that books I hate cost twice as much. Well done whoever decides this.

Kresley Cole is QUEEN of the Lore!

Kresley Cole never disappoints! Her awesome characters beyond come to life with the workings Robert Petkoff, I personally think he is the best narrator in the business.
In this installment of Immortals after Dark its Demon King Rydstom turn to find his fated female, but its not what he is expecting. Sabine the sorceri queen of illusion is Rydstom polar opposite and his fated female who has him tied up in a dungeon. Rydstom and Sabine are constantly battling for dominance over each other and the tables turn on Sabine when Rydstom escapes and Sabine is now the tied up captive. The book is filled with the funny one liners and it always a hilarious pleasure when Nix and Regin make an appearance. Very entertaining, very credit worthy you won't be disappoint! I love Kresley Cole and Robert Petkoff keep up the awesome work!

Rydstom and Sabine: What a strong pair

Again Robert P nails the narration of this book! Loved it!

Occurring concurrently with Book 6, the fallen King Rydstrom Woede was on this way to meet his brother Cade, as they attempt to make a trade with Groot for a sword forged with the expressed purpose of defeating Rydstrom’s archenemy Omort the Deathless.
Omort, who got wind of the plot, sent his half-sister Sabine, queen of illusions to intercept Rydstrom before he got to Groot. Omort planned to have Sabine seduce Rydstrom, since she was his fated queen, so she could become pregnant his son and thus have one of their own continue to rule the Kingdom of Rothkalina. Sabine managed to capture Rydstrom and locked up in his own dungeon, and thus began a battle of wills. Sabine tried to seduce Rydstom, and Rydstrom fought to resist her nefarious plot. This dangerous dance brought both of them closer and closer their foretold fate, as king and queen.

This book was just as good as the previous book. Rydstrom was the serious and super principled brother, so he lacked that hilarious wit of Cadeon. But Rydstom was strong and respectable, so I enjoyed him in a different way. This story has a lot of sexual tension. Oh man, it was fun to see them fight each other with all they had to win. While Sabine would appear just evil and ruthless, her relationship with her sister Lanthe revealed a softer and more loving side, so I knew there was good there too. I loved her swagger and her arrogance, but soon due to Rydstrom, I began to see the vulnerability as well. I loved what the author did with these two characters and I am glad they worked out well. I am getting into the groove with this series, and I don’t know if I will wait a month to read the next book.

Yet Another Favorite

If you've managed to get through your life this far without having heard a novel by Kresley Cole, and narrated by Robert Petkoff, please stop everything now and listen to one- or if you're like me, listen to ALL of them.

This novel was uniquely dark compared to others in this series, but still remained an addicting true-to-love tale of two fantastical people. The twisted reality Cole has created stretches the imagination, and also brings an element of deeper love to her characters that I have found tender and erotic all at once. I enjoy a passionate adventure story as much as the next girl, but Cole is one of only a few authors that can keep me interested throughout the novel, without dipping into the usual lulls that leave our minds drifting.

If you are overly shy about sex scenes, this may be a bit too much for you. If you like to hear the sweet side of a story as well as the sexual side, I think nobody pulls it off more gracefully than Cole.

Compared to Cole's other novels, this story definitely holds up to expectations. A couple stories have seemed a tiny bit repetitive, which I feel is likely unavoidable if she remains in this story line for many more novels, but I still listened eagerly and loved each one.

I have never heard a narrator with Robert Petkoff's skill at inflection, accents, flow, or consistency. He better be making a giant pile of money for his work narrating these novels, because he is what sells them to me at any price, every time.

Awesome!!!

What did you love best about Kiss of a Demon King?

The characters were SUCH draw in this addition to the series!! When I saw Sabine i just HAD to get it!!

What other book might you compare Kiss of a Demon King to and why?

This one is better than the other books earlier in the series because of the interaction between the two main characters. Sabine and Rydstrom have such a push and pull relationship its adorable!!

What does Robert Petkoff bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Robert Petkoff's voice is AMAZING.
This series would NOT be the same without him!!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

MADE ME SMILE!

Any additional comments?

So Hawt!!!! So delicious!!!

I read this book in paperback a year ago... And as soon as it's released on audible, I downloaded and finished it (again) in 1 seating!

It was so hot and steamy! It was also so cute these two. The heroine has such strong personality and at times she challenges the hero to his limit. I'm on the edge of my seat the whole time holding my breath listening to them pushing eachother's buttons. It was simply delicious!! And Rydstrom, the hero of this book, he's just.... Ugh! Sooooo hawt! So sweet! He's all male and oh... So sexy!!! Omg

The book is action packed, the narration is spot on as always!! You've done it again Robert Petkoff!!

Tips: read book 5 first!

in my opinion, it had a rough start

I struggled to complete this one. I just could not get into the story of Sabine throughout most of the book. and after listening to Kade's story prior to this, I was angry at Rydstrom for being duplicitous towards Kade. when the story picked up near the end it did get better and I could finally find something about Sabine that was redeeming.

narration was on point as always. I'm becoming quite the Robert Petkoff fan
