A bit dated, but still helpful

Sounds like this was put together in the 1980s, despite the 1995 copyright, since it mentions Yugoslavs and how, since they are communists, they don't tend to use the usual Mr/Mrs/Miss salutations.

Too difficult for beginners

This book is way too difficult for beginners. Instead of starting with "Good morning, Mr. Popovich," just start with "good" and "morning" then "good morning."

The phrases seem random. Within the second section, you're asked to learn "Excuse me for interrupting." Then it's on to the next random phrase, "Would you please come to my house on Sunday?" There isn't much prefacing of how to say each individual word either.

The narrator speaks clearly, but the advanced phrases of the book make it really hard to learn from.

The final chapter seems to come from another recording. It has "social customs and polite expressions." It's actually useful.

At least this book comes with an accompanying PDF to show you how to spell everything. Most language audiobooks are missing this crucial piece.
