Great read

Narration done superbly! I will definitely be buying more audio books narrated by Barbara Rosenblat. Story was entertaining & kept my interest. I found myself talking to Jo trying to warn her...lol!

Not great.

The story was very sad and depressing. I kept rooting for the main character to do something smart but her choices were terrible. It was just a downer to listen to. I only stayed with it because I wanted some justice in the end. Then when I finally made it to the end it was a cliff hanger. I'm not willing to listen to another book so I guess I'm stuck with the ending. Though the story left much to be desired the performance was well done and the narrator was talented.

Fun read!

It takes a while to get going, but the final result is totally worth it!

REALLY Enjoyable

The story most definitely strains credulity, but is a super fun (and funny) listen. The narrator is phenomenal.
I gave it 5 stars because it was such a welcome escape for my 55 year old Deep Southern self. I couldn’t be further removed from the lives of these characters societally or experientially, hence the grand escape 😉.
At times I equally loved and loathed our main character Jo Slater, and many of her friends. Genuinely surprised at times, laughed aloud at others, but ALWAYS entertained. I’ll definitely be following this author, and listening to the rest of this series.
Highly recommended.

Enjoyed both story and narration

Enjoyed a lot. Will be looking for more from author and narrator. At times I thought there needed to be a extra star option (for a total of 6) because everything was anticipated well. Wish the very end was slightly different, but overall, a good read.

Social Climbing Nightmare

An interesting story...the main character seems oblivious that she and her arch nemesis are very much the same person. She may not have gone to the lengths she took in past but definitely succumbed to the exact same treacherous actions in the end. Absolutely insane! The ending...total fairytale type stuff!!

power of money

Jo was lovely. She was betrayed so badly, broken mentally. Her obsession with Monique kept her motivated. How Jo used Monique and Nat's tactics against her to win back her money.

Jo is a New Yorker!

If that had happened to me I would have moved back to Oklahoma and married a nice rich oilman. Jo, however, seems obsessed with staying in New York City. Interesting read. Living in the Midwest, east coast people seem very exotic to me. Even more so after reading Social Crimes!

Loved it!!

In some corner of the brain, we all know people get away with murder. But there was a point I kept thinking how low does this woman have to get before she fights back?

I LOVE THIS BOOK!

I listened to this book 10 years ago. I enjoyed it so much I decided to listen to it again. It was just as good the second time around. Great story and the narrator was perfect
