Story
The secretive Mysteries conducted at Eleusis in Greece for nearly two millennia have long puzzled scholars with strange accounts of initiates experiencing otherworldly journeys. In this groundbreaking work, three experts - a mycologist, a chemist, and a historian - argue persuasively that the sacred potion given to participants in the course of the ritual contained a psychoactive entheogen. The authors then expand the discussion to show that natural psychedelic agents have been used in spiritual rituals across history and cultures.

Story
Less than fifty thousand years ago mankind had no art, no religion, no sophisticated symbolism, no innovative thinking. Then, in a dramatic and electrifying change, described by scientists as "the greatest riddle in human history," all the skills and qualities that we value most highly in ourselves appeared already fully formed, as though bestowed on us by hidden powers.

Sample insights:
- Though we are liable to forget, Western civilization was not founded as a Christian enterprise. The ancient Greece that invented democracy and birthed all the arts and sciences we now take for granted, never heard of Jesus. Before Jerusalem, before Rome, before Mecca, there was Eleusis.
- The Eleusinian Mysteries were a secret religious cult that flourished in ancient Greece, in honor of Demeter and Persephone, the goddesses of grain and fertility. They were performed for 2,000 years in Eleusis, a town near Athens. The cult was very popular and attracted people from all over the world.

“You like it darker? Fine, so do I,” writes Stephen King in the afterword to this magnificent new collection of twelve stories that delve into the darker part of life—both metaphorical and literal. King has, for half a century, been a master of the form, and these stories, about fate, mortality, luck, and the folds in reality where anything can happen, are as rich and riveting as his novels, both weighty in theme and a huge pleasure to digest.

When a woman slides into his DMs with the same problem, they come up with a plan: They'll date each other and break up. There is no bigger public health story now than the collapse in youth mental health. The numbers are terrifying and dominate our headlines. There has been much debate over how we got here, and what to do next, and bestselling author and social psychologist Jonathan Haidt is at the white-hot center of that discourse. Haidt has spent his career speaking wisdom and truth into the most difficult landscapes—communities polarized by politics and religion, campuses battling culture wars, and now the perfect storm contributing to a public health emergency for Gen Z.

In The Worst of You, just-wed architects Timo and Nia flee a murder scene, setting in motion a chain reaction of lies and betrayals that threaten to unravel everything they have built together. Twisted and propulsive, this thriller is told from the alternating perspectives of the couple and those close to them on Williwaw Island, each with their own motive to use the outcome of the murder case to their advantage. When a huge storm sweeps up the coast, trapping everyone on tiny Williwaw Island, it’s a race against time—and the elements — to stop the murderer from striking again.

Finally the truth is told.
l am deeply humbled and grateful for the courage and aptitude of Brian Muraresku's review of The Imortslity Key. He has connected many dots in my mind and made sense of a intentionally confusing and corrupt religion that has undermined human progress since its inception. lf you care about the greed and injustice prevailing in our world today, this is a MUST READ for those who search for truth. lt should be included as the summary chapter to The Imortality Key to give readers "the rest if the story."
l have had many questions about the Christian religion and obvious inconsistencies in the Holy Bible for anyone paying attrntion. My own curiosity was met time and again with unsatisfying answers or outright lies, leaving me no choice but to leave Christianity to those less inclined to question Christian dogma. l have also suspected for decades that the Vatican is an evil force on the planet who hides the truth while being treated like a sacred light and responsible party by world leaders. lt's time the Vatican is held to answer for their wrongs, stripped of their self-sanctified position as the largest property owner in tbe world, and their archives made public.
