Captivating!

Christie Golden’s writing skills are next to none. Every book is spectacular! Patty Mattson’s narrating was epic. She holds one of the most iconic voices in fantasy gameplay. Her delivery was spot on! A must read, or listen to!

I love the fact that everything she did through previous expansions ultimately led to the shadowlands expansion. This makes me think the expansion wasn't complete ass now with this story.

Wish the games explored this Sylvanas instead.

As a long time World Of Warcraft fan everything prior to the Shadowlands story is really well done

Another good one by Christie Golden

I love Christie Golden's Warcraft novels, but I feel like she was hampered a bit by Blizzard for this one. It seems like she wasn't allowed to cover the in-game cut scenes, and as a player who doesn't play much anymore, that was a negative for me. Otherwise, This story was great! Well written, as always.

Performance-wise, my only critique is that I felt like the narrator didn't allow enough of a break between time period changes (paragraphs followed by line breaks then new section). I only knew most of these time jumps because I'm familiar with the Warcraft universe. The sections that I read, I could tell there was a time jump in the text.

I would recommend to Warcraft fans.

Explains everything better than the game

But expected the listener to know the stories from the earlier books/games.
original Sylvanas VA performance great, although male voices are a bit of a pain to listen to.
The story makes you understand the motives and causes much better than the game, but it doesn't matter at all in the ending.

Great Story - 10/10

Lady Sylvanas is my favorite character in World of Warcraft. It was interesting and eye opening to see her story told from her perspective. It gave insight into why she did the things that she did and her motivations behind them.

The best part is that Patty Mattson, who voices her in the video game, narrated this book, and did a phenomenal job. I don't think I would have bought the audiobook if she was not narrating.

Seemed like both the author and the narrator tried to hard. But there were moments of brilliance by both as well.

Needed this after Shadowlands

This explained years of frustration of not understanding some of the storylines in game. I hope they continue to have stories like this that help us understand some of the finer things in game.

All Hail the Banshee Queen!!!

Sylvanas has been my favorite character since I started playing World of Warcraft. To get a book spanning most of her life was a great ride. Christie Golden fills in the gaps from what we see in the games and Patty Mattson, whose voice is synonymous with Sylvanas in my mind, was the perfect option to narrate this book. This my first World of Warcraft book on Audible and now I want to go back and listen to more.

Mattson is *chef's kiss*

They have destroyed my favorite character in wow. She deserved better than this storyline. However it was purely orgasmic hearing her OG voice actor. I might listen to it again just to hear it again.
