Will things ever go right?

When Johnny’s pa doesn’t come home after the war, the Garret ranch nears collapse, covered with back taxes and worthless cattle. While he struggles with bitterness and dread, his mother launches a spiritual quest for God’s provision.

During these times in America, we all would benefit from having Texas Faith!

Liked the character development, storyline, and message of the book. Although set in post Civil War Texas, very relevant in the current era of challenges faced by most Americans. Good read!

True to life story about the power of faith

I thoroughly enjoyed Andrew Roth's Texas Faith! It is an engrossing story about the difficulties and challenges of life in the post-Civil War south and the elusive reality, even for lifelong believers, that whether we are facing insurmountable odds or just everyday challenges, faith is the only truly rational response. Mr. Roth's prose is exceptional and engaging, leaving the listener hanging on every word and eager to hear what comes next. And Craig Abbott's performance is excellent, The characters are multidimensional and interesting and the story is rich and expansive. But the theme of faith is really what hits home. Whether you have been a Christian since childhood or you are simply curious about the things of God, this book will both challenge and encourage you. Highly recommend!!

Great story about the development of faith

I enjoyed watching Johnny’s faith mature as he grows into a man of God. The narrator did a wonderful job performing the story!

We loved all of the Christian elements and mention of Jesus in a positive, real life context.

Texas Faith was a great story of a young man finding his own faith amidst challenging times on the post Civil War, Texas plains. God’s hand was demonstrated in ways that many of us can relate to albeit in a much different setting and time. As we met new characters, each one brought more to the story, pulling us deeper in. Although the ending was good, we were not even ready for it because we wanted more. The epilogue brought closure but we would love to see that expanded into another story of its own. Thanks Andy!

Blending Story and Faith

Roth does a great job of teasing out real faith concerns in a fascinating historical context. I couldn’t be more thrilled with the ending, and the feel good nature of the story left me incredibly satisfied with the whole experience. I highly recommend for those who appreciate historical fiction or need help seeing faith in a new light.
