Publisher's summary

Ansel Bray, an artist known around the world for his tragic hiatus from the canvas. Ansel Bray, a broody, handsome man not known by me, at all. Long dark hair, blue eyes, and dimpled cheeks. I've never met her, but her image is imprinted in my mind. An angel muse who inspires me to paint again.

There is something about him. Something that spurs a need to be as close to him as possible. A need to find out why. There is something about her. Something that draws me in. Something that urges me to find out what her presence means.

Why does the girl in his painting look so much like me? Who is this girl, and why can I see her so vividly?

I shouldn't fall in love with him. I shouldn't fall in love at all.

But fate plays her hand. But fate has other plans.

The lines of my life will blur. The needs of my heart will change.

What a beautiful mess we've made.

Great Storyline

Absolutely loved it. The story has many layers and expands nicely as it is being told.
The voice of the assistant is really funny, especially if you know someone who talks and acts like the character.

Loved the plot twists

The Girl In The Painting is not the light, fun kind of story that I expected from this author. It is a little angsty, emotional and had a surprising twist at the end. I really enjoyed the narration. This book kept me entertained while working and listening.

Absolutly Perfect!

Wow you guys! This book is A-MAZING! I read in a few reviews to go in blind and not read much into it so I took their advice and boy were they right!! This story is captivating and emotional and touches you down to your soul! The pain and love they convey is palpable and just perfect. The performance by Alexander and Stephanie was absolutely perfection! Alexander really nails the broody emotional bad boy and the softest lover all in one. I just loved this book so much!!

This is an amazing story. Set against the back drop of NYC and the juxtaposition of the visual and performing arts.

I read hundreds of audio books in this genre but I hardly ever felt inclined to leave a review as with most romance the plots are usually so basic and lacking in imagination but this book is different. It has a magic to it that pulls the reader in, the emotions were strong and palpable and the characters deep. I was not too fond of the voice of the male narrator but the story made his performance tolerable. Worth the credit and the time!

Beautiful and emotional

While there isn't much mystery as to their connection for the "reader" almost from the beginning, it's a great story to listen to as the characters come to the inevitable realization.

There was very little drama which I appreciated and a the premise was beautifully laid out.

My only frustration was Alexander Cendese's nasally female voice that didn't capture Indi's personality, the rest was perfect.
