NO! A book CANNOT end like this!

This is a book I will not forget. It hits close to home due to some of the medical issues, What a rollercoaster of emotions that you go through. My only advice, get book 2 right away. I literally yelled What the hell?!?! at the end of this.

Emotional and Heartfelt!!

The Lies About Forever is book 1 of Ameline and Gabe's emotional journey! This does end on a cliffhanger that will leave you gasping and wanting more.

Ameline is looking for a kind of love that she’s never had. The friendship she has built with Gabe shows her that maybe they can be more than friends, but can she take that chance?

This was such a beautiful story but be ready for it because Claudia does not hold back. This book takes us on every step of their journey. Your heart and mind will crave more because of Claudia's words and the wonderful characters.

Great story and narration

This was a story that will draw you in and hook you from the first chapter. I was invested in Ameline and Gabe and what an emotional roller coaster of a read The Lies About Forever was. As this is a duet, this book ends in a cliffhanger, so you have been warned and I am anxious to read the conclusion to their story. There are warnings for this book so please be aware as they may be a trigger to some.
I fell hard and fast for Gabe although I admit to moments where I wanted to smack some sense into him, but all in all I loved him. This was a well written story full of heart and soul. The angst was intense and there are several serious topics that were touched on and those were handled well. There were moments where my heart broke for both Ameline and Gabe and I hope that they get the happily ever after they both deserve.

The narration by Teddy Hamilton and Angelina Rocca brought all the drama, angst and passion to life for me.

Anxiously awaiting the conclusion in The Truth About Us.

Book 1 of 2

This is book one of the Impossibly Possible series and we are tied back to the Deckers. This is the story of Gabe Decker and his roommate's little sister, Ameline. When Gabe first meets Ameline she is still in high school and they become best of friends. He helps her with her family dynamics and over the years they really become close. He guards his heart from past hurts but she is special to him for sure. As the years roll on and Ame becomes an adult he starts to see her as more than a friend and she does him as well. When she needs him, he is there for her in a big way, and their life changes from friends to so much more. No spoilers! Be aware this is book one and does end in an emotional cliffhanger so you will need book two as well.

The narration for this book is fantastic. I love Teddy Hamilton and always enjoy anything he is a part of but this was my first time listening to Angelina Rocca I believe but she was amazing. Perfect for Ameline and the duet style just brought it all together.

I loved this heart-wrenching, emotional book and highly recommend it.

Love Hurts

Teddy Hamilton and Angelina Rocca are perfect, expressing their characters emotions through the years, and there are a lot of emotions in this story. Gabe and Emeline met when she went to spend the weekend with her brother, only to find her brother didn’t stay at the apartment on weekends. So she ends up spending time with Gabe, her brother’s roommate. Emeline is in high school, Gabe is in college, and the age difference is an issue for Gabe. But they become good friends and their relationship grows. But life takes cruel turns, and the story is filled with despair.

My favorite Claudia duet!

Wow, Claudia, another heart wrenching story that leaves us on a cliffhanger of all cliffhangers. But, I know you will put us back together with book 2. I binge read this today because this story will grips you and holds on. Gabe loves his family but withholds information from them and I’m not sure why….especially about Ameline. He is very caring, a fixer, and a bit of a control freak. I still think there’s more we will learn about him in book two to explain his behavior. Ameline has many hidden burdens and her family is not the greatest…her dad will piss you off and don’t even get me started on her siblings. She’s alone, not well and needs help. Gabe is there to help her work through all of her burdens. Helen makes her feel seen and loved. This friendship blossomed from a somewhat forced friendship between two people who are a perfect match…just takes them awhile to get there. I loved the text messaging and how their relationship grows over time. I will read anything Claudia writes and this story quickly became one of my favorites. Anxiously awaiting book two so my heart can be put back together. Updated 6/4/24 - Audiobook review: Teddy Hamilton and Angelina Rocca deliver a phenomenal performance. They being perfect voice, emotion and personality to each of the characters. Teddy’s voice is so swoony, delightful and delicious! Angelina’s voice has the perfect amount of strength, vulnerability and tenderness. A fantastic listen - narrators being a whole new experience to enjoying an authors words.

Emotional

This was a heartbreaking story. Ms. Burgoa likes to torment her readers with loss and death. Why do I do this to myself? Because her books are addictive and compelling. Ameline can not catch a break. Poor woman never had a loving family ever. At least Gabe Decker truly loves her. I need to know what happens next in book two. Angelina Rocco and Teddy Hamilton brought this story to life with their talents.

Amazing Story & Narration🎧Enthralling & Heartfelt

Claudia Burgoa does it again, not only did she pen another amazing novel, but she hooks me in, blows me away and then leaves me wanting more, or rather needing to know more. She created something very special when she created the Decker Family and I will never tire or get enough of them, with each one being as interesting as the other, and so are their stories and relationships. “The Lies About Forever” is the first book of her “Impossibly Possible” duet, and is Gabriel “Gabe” Decker and Ameline”Are” Lewis’ story and wow, what a story it is, the emotions poured off the pages of this book and hit me straight in the heart, and that ending broke my heart apart. Gabe losing the love of his life at a young age left him heartbroken and jaded because he knew there will never be another. While in college his roommate Cedric’s younger sister, Ameline, comes for a visit, but Cedric winds up leaving her to fend for herself, though Gabe was there and took her under his wing. The two hit it off and stayed in touch over the years, becoming good friends and it morphed into more, but it took him longer to realize it. He showed up for her in her time of need and went above and beyond. Then the unthinkable happened, actually several unthinkable things happen, crushing them both. I loved how everything played out in this book, and as always, the writing, plot and world building are impeccable, as are the character growth and development. It was great to see some familiar faces from other series and a brief glimpse of storylines that occurred in their books. Claudia Burgoa, thank you for another amazing story and emotional roller coaster ride.

🎧📚🎧 Teddy Hamilton and Angelina Rocca did a fantastic job with these characters, bringing them to life, humanizing them, giving each a voice that suits them perfectly. I loved how they took their roles and made them their own, sounding believable and just as I imagined the characters would sound. Hamilton nailed it as Gabe, grasping his personality completely and Rocca did the same as Ameline, bringing out all sides of her personality as well. Both were fabulous performing the roles of the secondary characters too. They set the perfect tone for the story, capture all the characters’ emotions and have you feeling them all. These two are make a great team, their voices and performances complement each other and they are entertaining storytellers. Thank you for another amazing listen.

Emotional, heart-rending, and utterly romantic!

This is a beautiful, slow burn love story that hit me in the deepest parts of my heart! I was so invested in Gabriel and Ameline and their growing friendship, that the earth-shattering events and secrets completely took my breath way! Ameline's brother is Gabe's roommate. They meet when she is in high school and he is in college. They connect right away, and when Ameline needs a break from her evil stepmother, Gabe is always there to make her life brighter. Over the years, no matter how far apart they lived, they grow even closer. They slowly realized their feelings are growing deeper, but never gave them voice, and risk their close bond. Gabe never thought he could love again after losing his high school sweetheart, but the love he has for Ameline eclipses that. When Ameline's past threatens her future, Gabe will do whatever it takes to protect her, including declaring his love, and marrying her. But not everything is possible, or in his control, and their forever is suddenly threatened. Wow, what an emotional, angsty, heart-rending, and utterly romantic story. Burgoa has a way of pulling you deep into a world, and making you feel it all so intensely. This first book in the Impossibly Possible duet has everything: family, love, loss, secrets, a swoony hot hero, and a strong heroine, and the chemistry and friendship between them is just lovely.
Teddy Hamilton and Angelina Rocca's narration was so moving as they brought these flawed characters to life. They made me really care for both Gabe and Ameline. I was so riveted and rooting so hard for them to get the happy ending they deserved, but the ending left me heartbroken and breathless! I can't wait to find out what happens next in the second book, The Truth About Us!
