A fun different kind of fantasy

This is very different from the fantasy I usually read. It's light, fluffy, and almost fairy-tale like. At first I was a bit disappointed in the lack of risk and danger, but as soon as I picked up on the type of book it was I liked it. Different, and a good start to a series. And the narration was really good, which really helped me enjoy the book.

Just the Beginning

This is a fun fantasy story blending elements similar to Powerrangers, Sailor Moon, and Harry Potter all into one story. It's an introduction into a story that is going to span over several books, and it's done well in that regard. I also loved the narrator. She nailed all the voices in this.

The only downside to the book is that sometimes things weren't fully described it seems, and I had trouble imagining what some characters/places looked like. However, this would not stop me from reading the rest of the series! I'm invested in the characters and world and I want to see where the story goes.

A Fresh Take on Personal Adventure

Caleb Wright takes us on a wonderful journey reminiscent of Sunday morning cartoons. The plot twists were fresh and the plot gripping. The villain was a bit cartoonish but fit the tone well. Kada was my favorite.
