Publisher's summary

Baseball has never been sexier in an all-new novel by New York Times best-selling Author, K. Bromberg.

Easton Wylder is baseball royalty. The game is his life. His passion. His everything.

So when an injury threatens to end Easton's season early, the team calls in renowned physical therapist, Doc Dalton, to oversee his recovery. Except it's not Doc who greets Easton for his first session, but rather, his daughter, Scout. She may be feisty, athletic, defiant, and gorgeous, but Easton is left questioning whether she has what it takes to help him.

Scout Dalton's out to prove a female can handle the pressure of running the physical therapy regimen of an MLB club. And that proof comes in the form of getting phenom Easton Wylder back on the field. But getting him healthy means being hands-on.

And with a man as irresistible as Easton, being hands-on can only lead to one thing, trouble. Because the more she touches him, the more she wants him, and she can't want him. Not when it's her job to maintain the club's best interest, in regards to whether he's ready to play.

But when sparks fly and fine lines are crossed, can they withstand the heat, or is one of them bound to get burned?

Great listen

All the negative comments about a cliffhanger that's very typical of miss Bromberg and always worth the wait

Love it!!!

The story was amazing and loved the narrators!! I'm not a big fan of cliff-hangers, so hopefully it doesn't take to long for the next book to come out. I loved Easton and Scout together and was not expecting that last scene. I'm a little bit mad at the owner or manager of the team right now.😡😡 Lol😃😃 Can't wait to see what happens next.

I love baseball ... hot steamy baseball. wow wee!!

Would you listen to The Player again? Why?

I enjoy Andi Arndt voice .. she is a narrator I have gone to enjoy listening too. She has such amazing vocal skills ... abilities to change so easily depending on the books, subject ... I'll continue checking out more from her soon enough.

What other book might you compare The Player to and why?

I love Sawyer Bennett's hockey series, Helena Hunting's hockey series, Sara Ney's wrestling series, I guess because they all have hot sporty dudes in them? I am missing a few ... but those are a few similar picks. ( ;

What about Joe Arden and Andi Arndt ’s performance did you like?

I love Andi's voice. I am new to Joe ... I might check more out from him. For sure. I love finding new folks. so fun!

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Laughing is always a skill I have ... crying not so much. unless you are thinking crying with happy tears. So much laughter in this book. Lots of sympathetic thoughts over the Father's different difficult situations ... that was rough and does pull at your heartstrings.

A great read!

This is one of those real books, real stories and with some real heart put into it. As you may know I have a habit of reading dark romance, I just love it. What can I tell you? But sometimes I need a palate cleanser, something a little more on the realistic side and this is one of those. Everything about this book was real and I guess I really needed that.

This story about Easton and Scout is emotional. With fear of losing someone you love, the excitement of something new, the doubt and insecurity that comes with new changes, and finding someone who truly understands you more than anyone else. K. Bromberg does such a great job telling Easton and Scout's story. It’s well written, easy to follow along, original and raw. This book is filled with sweetness, steam, emotion and angst. If you are looking for something original and easy to pull you in, this is a book you want to pick up.

And the ending! Holy shit.

I hate cliff hangers.

the book was good, at least this part. as it got closer to the end I keep checking the amount of time left to see if it could be wrapped up. Series are fine if each book is the end of an arc with some sense of completion. this is not that. ugh.

Hard heart be wear of cliffhanger!!

This has been such a good listen.

The story was great and a nice twist in the “girly falls for boy but can’t have him” story line

I have when stories have cliffhanger but this was so good right up until the last minute!

I can’t wait to listen to The catch to see how it all is ends up. Audible 20 review sweepstakes entry
