Publisher's summary

The X-Men are mutants—born with extraordinary powers that set them apart from the very humanity they are sworn to protect. Now, groundbreaking research has revealed a method for reversing the genetic mutation responsible for mutant powers—whether the mutant wants it reversed or not.

The US government wants to use this procedure to eliminate the so-called mutant menace once and for all—but the X-Men soon learn that the true source of the procedure is their old enemy, Sinister! And his agenda is far more complex and dangerous than even the X-Men can imagine.

Good story - bad ending

I enjoyed this book. However, the ending left you wanting a lot more and feeling very unfinished. The performance was very good from each of the actors, just wish that the ending was different.

Solid story

I thoroughly enjoyed the story. I almost thought that it was too short. they had a lot of explanations for those who needed an introductions to some of the characters. but they didn't have it inundated with introductions to where it took away from the story. it didn't end on a automatic High note, it actually had a lot of drama. which is what you want, you don't want something that's going to end with flowers, the story made you feel like they had to struggle! I love that. is there another one that comes next? cuz I'll read that too!

Wow incredible story

10's across the board. What an incredible story. Kudos to all involved esp the narrator with an extra special kudos to his Gambit.

Drivel

I suppose the ultimate concept could have been done well. Just not by this guy. The ending was a fade to black moment I think he intended for you wonder about. Instead the only thing I wondered is how a guy who took shots at other people throughout his narrative doesn’t see the irony. He ends the story with a character expounding on acceptance of people who are different from you. Not this guy. He makes fun of anyone who is from the south (superstitious and ignorant) and the midwest( bigoted and racist) or who is in a government job (drones at best or fascist jackbooted thugs at worst). It’s amazing how narrow minded some ‘open minded’ people really are. I love the X-Men. I really like Mr. Sinister as a villain. I like using the X-Men as a metaphor for oppressed classes. You can’t do that effectively if your tactic is to belittle the people you need to turn to your side. That being said there isn’t enough of Wolverine, Beast, Cyclops, Jean Grey, Storm, Gambit, Rogue or most of the actual X-men. All in all not an author who I will be following in the future. But I’ll keep looking for more X-Men adventures by better writers.
