Story
Two classic stories of finding love where you least expect it! Marriage Wanted: As far as Nash Davenport's concerned, marriage isn't shelter from the storm - it is the storm. He's a divorce attorney, himself divorced, who believes no married couple can live up to their wedding vows. My Hero: Would-be romance writer Bailey York has already failed twice at love. She thinks men are wonderful to read and write about, but that's it. Which is probably why she has such difficulty creating a hero for her novel. What she needs is a real-life example.

Joan Sample is not living the life she expected. Now a widow and an empty-nester, she has become by her own admission something of a recluse. But after another birthday spent alone, she is finally inclined to listen to her sister, who has been begging Joan to reengage with the world. Story
Joan Sample is not living the life she expected. Now a widow and an empty-nester, she has become by her own admission something of a recluse. But after another birthday spent alone, she is finally inclined to listen to her sister, who has been begging Joan to reengage with the world. With Emmie’s support, Joan gathers the courage to take some long-awaited steps: hiring someone to tame her overgrown garden, joining a grief support group, and even renting out a room to a local college student. Her grandfather wants her to come home, and Molly thinks she just might. His ranch will be a good place for her sons to grow up, a place to escape big-city influences. Then she learns - from a stranger named Sam Dakota - that her grandfather is ill. Possibly dying. Molly packs up the kids without a second thought and makes the long drive to Sweetgrass, Montana. Once she arrives, she immediately has questions about Sam Dakota. Why is he working on her grandfather’s ranch? Why doesn’t the sheriff trust him? Just who is he?

Watch out for the 2nd " bonus" book
I very much enjoyed Yours & Mine. Its cute & charming. But the so-called bonus book that follows is an entirely different flavor. It contains unsavory characters with potty mouths & bad character. It seems a very poor decision to place 2 such different books on the same Audible credit.
So, while I recommend Yours & Mine, I vote for skipping Home for the Holidays altogether--if it were the only book here there would be nothing worthwhile.

Fun. & Lighthearted
I loved this novel! I could really relate to it since my husband & I met when our children were teenagers. I especially enjoyed the humor in the story. It was well written & the narrator was wonderful. I will definitely look for more books written by the same author & narrator.

Sorta boring
I couldn’t give this a five star because the story just wasn’t that great. I read a lot of Debbies books but this one didn’t trip my triggers.

The story wasn't bad but the narrator voice for the girls was very grating. Almost had to return title because of it.

Story is dated
This story felt dated, both from references to a landline to outdated ideas of women needing to be married. Overall, it's a sweet tale of two tweens fixing their parents up, but the outdated ideas frustrated me.

Recycled from 1989
I’m a Debbie Macomber fan, but despite being advertised as published in 2021, this story felt dated. A little research showed that it was a standalone novel from 1989. I’m marking as finished and moving on.
