Branden James, America's Got Talent finalist (2013) was born in Anaheim, California in an evangelical Christian family. The operatic tenor shared his story on national television about his struggles reconciling his faith along with his family and sexuality. He received a worldwide outpouring of messages from people who could relate to his story. This inspired him to be transparent about his hardships because he realized he had the power to help others through his own journey. Now, as an openly gay, Christian, HIV positive individual, Branden has put pen to paper to share the lyrics of his life in his first memoir.
