Ken Davis knew he wanted to be in broadcasting ever since his “mistress” snuck into his room when he was a child and lured him into the industry. Together they would go on to hobnob with Hollywood royalty, socialize with presidents, and journey inside the minds of some of the world’s most fascinating people. But his volatile seductress also pointed a loaded gun to his head, brought him face-to-face with a notorious serial killer in the middle of the night, and demanded he sell his soul. In his action-packed and often humorous memoir, Davis chronicles dozens of exclusive behind-the-scenes adventures from his four-decade-career in one of the most seductive industries on the planet. He’s been awarded three Emmys as well as many other awards and has written and produced for a variety of TV programs from the CBS Evening News to "EXTRA" to "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous." Once you hop "In Bed with Broadcasting," you may love her or you may want to run for cover—but you will never forget her. KEN DAVIS is a three-time Emmy-award-winning writer, producer, and on-air reporter who has worked for all the major networks in news, entertainment, and reality TV. At the age of twenty, he became the nation’s youngest TV anchorman and went on to work with Walter Cronkite, Dan Rather, and dozens of other prominent broadcasters and entertainers. He also hosted the PBS program Why in the World? and has reported stories for The MacNeil/Lehrer NewsHour, as well as breaking news reports for CBS and KTLA-TV. In addition to his Emmys, Davis has been honored with three Golden Mikes, two Genesis Awards, and is a member of the John Muir High School (Pasadena, CA) distinguished alumni Hall of Fame. He and his wife, Carole, make their home in Southern California.
