内容紹介
大きな屋敷が立ち並ぶ町を二人の少年が歩いていた。
小林少年と少年探偵団の野呂少年だ。
その二人の目の前に不気味な人造人間が現れた。
人造人間がある洋館へ入っていくのを見た二人も、後を追い洋館へ入る。
そこで不思議な出来事が起こった。
二人の目の前で人造人間が消えていったのだ。
消えたかと思ったら、今度は白ひげの老人が現れた。
老人は「魔法博士」と名乗り、二人に知恵比べの勝負を申し込んできた。
黄金の虎の像をお互いに隠しあい、最後まで守れた方にこの像を与えると言うものだ。
その勝負を受けた小林少年たちは、少年探偵団の仲間と協力して虎の像を隠した。
しかし、魔法博士に盗まれてしまう。
後をつけ鍾乳洞へ辿り着いた小林少年は、少年探偵団十人で鍾乳洞探検へ乗り出した。
いくつものトラブルを知恵と勇気で乗り越える少年探偵団であったが、魔法博士には勝てなかった。
再び黄金の虎を託された小林少年は、今度こそ見つけられない場所へ隠す。
だが、やはり魔法博士は一枚上手であった。
またもや黄金の虎は魔法博士の手に渡ってしまった。
