Autumn had been a very troubling time for the residents of Bane County, and the arrival of winter and the holiday season was a welcome diversion. Over the past three months, twenty-six people had gone missing in the neighboring wildlife refuge, believed to have fallen victim to a vicious rogue bear.
Bryce McNeel and Jackson Campbell knew the truth about the missing people and worried that the horrors of autumn wouldn’t end with the coming of winter. In truth, they both sensed that something far worse was on the way.
With a massive winter storm bearing down on Bane County, Bryce and Jackson feared they’d be fighting more than just the wintry cold. There could be things more chilling than ice and snow in the approaching storm.

Another solid book!
I very much enjoy this series. I will say, the AI narrator seemed to noticeably struggle with the dialog in book 3. The series is building towards a great finale.

Past the FBI being responsiable--insane
Past the FBI being responsible, for whats going on its a NO. Sometimes you cant make something something it shouldnt ever be. They live this irrational life when the FBI should have resolved the problem. The story so far is truly horrific, It really qualifies as a ""nightmare", the kind were people are not stopping to do something about the problem. It reminds me we have rights because previously we didn't. This story is like some for of historical insanity before people had rights. It takes an incredible amount of person and effort to go through one of these traumas and file a complaint. Put the problem where it belongs, it is so upsetting how many people are mentally off of reality and whats going on around them. It is definitely scary, that all alone in the darkness cold scary nightmare stuff. I'm on chpt 13 right now, I love stories , and good writing as a real skill, this is like an absolute please stop being that kind of people story. wow--edit later
