Publisher's summary
TWO SWORN ENEMIES. ONE CHANCE TO SAVE THE GALAXY.
In the midst of an unforgiving galactic war, Joel Chambers and his unit never expected their greatest challenge to come from beneath their feet. While engaged in a fierce skirmish on a primitive planet, their reality is upended as a mysterious starship bursts from the ground, altering the course of their mission — and the war itself.
Suddenly, survival demands the unthinkable: an alliance with their sworn enemies. Chambers, leading his beleaguered team, must navigate this precarious truce in pursuit of a formidable adversary, one whose power threatens to shift the interstellar balance of power.
But cooperation is easier said than done when tensions run high and old grudges die hard. As they chase a threat that weaves through the stars, the line between ally and enemy blurs.
In a universe where trust is scarce and betrayal is just one misstep away, can they put aside their differences long enough to avert a cosmic catastrophe?
Beyond Honor is a military science fiction series full of action, humor, and mystery. If you're looking for an adventure that starts with a gunfight and ends with galactic consequences, this is the series for you!

Story
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

It’s 1984, and life has changed beyond recognition. Airstrip One, formerly known as Great Britain, is a place where Big Brother is always watching, and nobody can hide. In 2059, two vastly different groups of people portrayed by the compelling trio of Brendan Fraser (Academy Award winner), Luke Kirby (Emmy Award winner), and Vanessa Sears (Dora Award winner) undergo cryonic suspension. While their bodies are frozen, their minds, still active and awake, are uploaded into a massive quantum computer. The first group are all astronauts, about to leave Earth on a one-way interstellar colonization mission. The second group consists of convicted murderers and volunteers who elect to serve their sentences in a virtual-reality prison.

Story
Jazz Bashara is a criminal. Well, sort of. Life on Artemis, the first and only city on the moon, is tough if you're not a rich tourist or an eccentric billionaire. So smuggling in the occasional harmless bit of contraband barely counts, right? Not when you've got debts to pay and your job as a porter barely covers the rent. Everything changes when Jazz sees the chance to commit the perfect crime, with a reward too lucrative to turn down.

Hate the virtual voice
Ok i liked the context of the book, but truly hated the virtual voice. There us no distinction between characters, just a monotone vouce for the entire book...
