While the SEAL teams had used dogs in the past, they never had dogs trained specifically by SEALs, for SEALs. To fill this void, Ritland started his own company after he retired, training and supplying dogs for the West Coast SEAL teams. He knew that less than 1% of all working dogs had what it takes to contribute to the success of our nation’s elite combat units. He searched the globe for animals who fit this specific profile.

Wine is an expression of the hopes, dreams, and cultures of the people who make it, so what better way to learn about the countries of the world than by learning about their wines?

Story
Many horse trainers, even those who espouse the so-called natural horsemanship approach, take the position that horses who fail to obey a human's request are doing so as much out of perversity as ignorance. That's not Mark Rashid's view. In his words, "If we understand that horses can't separate the way they feel from the way they act, then we can start to see that unwanted behavior isn't bad behavior at all. More times than not, it's just the horse expressing the way he feels at that particular moment in time....

Quite impressed
I already had a cat prior to getting my new kitten, but the information in this book was very helpful - especially the timeline of kitten growth and type of foods they can eat.

I love my cats!
I have one kitty that's about five years old and I love her a bunch. I also just adopted a male kitten and I thought I'd look into some new care and training techniques I didn't know about. This is a great book for that. It gives tips on caring for both kittens and grown cats. I recommend it for anyone looking for a good guide on how to care for a kitten or cat from the moment you adopt it into your family!

great book for new cat owners or a good refresher
I'd have liked for it to include more than one trick, though, given the title. This would have added more value to me.

Want a Kitten? Want an Older Cat? Use These Tips
Would you consider the audio edition of Cats: Cat Care- Kitten Care- How To Take Care Of And Train Your Cat Or Kitten to be better than the print version?
Well, Unfortunately I did not read the printed edition of Cat Care. I like listening to Joshua talk about Cats and Kittens because of his stories of his experiences with his kittens. He makes it fun.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Cats: Cat Care- Kitten Care- How To Take Care Of And Train Your Cat Or Kitten?
The most memorable moment for me from "Cats: Cat Care- Kitten Care-How To Take Care Of And Train Your Cat or Kitten" is when Joshua talked about going to an animal shelter, and saving a cat. I have rescued dogs from the shelters, and I am sure that cats, like dogs, know they are special because you saved them from an uncertain future.
What does Joshua Mackey bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
I like when Joshua adds his little antidotes to the story. I liked when he described the 3 kittens he got from the same litter. When he describes the colors of the males being black, white, and orange, and then the female being a Calico, I can see them in front of me. He just brings the book to life.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
My tag line for a film of this book would be
The Loyalty and Love of any Kitten or Cat is Never Ending and a Wonderful Gift.
Any additional comments?
I have always had dogs. I can't have a cat because I have terrible allergies to them. Whether they have sort or long hair, I sneeze, wheeze, and rub my eyes. After listening to this book, I want a CAT! My daughter just got a kitten, and talk about loyalty? She wants to be with my daughter all of the time, but she is so soft and loving.

Learn to train and care for your kitty
We recently adopted and abandon kitten and were looking for advice on how to care for her. This book was a wonderful asset. Not only did we learn how to properly care for Piper (our kitten), but we learned how to kitty-proof our house (who knew!), our to keep her safe, which toys she'd enjoy the most and what to look for in her food. Great book that I would highly recommend to anyone looking to get a kitten or already has one.

Great information for cat lovers!
I just got a couple of cute kittens and this audio was extremely helpful in helping me get things under control. The tips on playing with your cats and tiring them out worked like a charm and all the different toys that you can use and make on your own was great. My kittens love chasing around the long piece of rope that I have. The food information and training information was helpful as well. I now know it's best to never hit your pet and that a water bottle works twice as good along with some verbal cues. I highly recommend this audio!

Disappointing
I thought it would be a great idea to learn how to train my kitten and listen on a business trip. I was very mistaken. He gives inhumane advice like suggesting declawing your cats. I learned nothing from this book, and found myself offended at times.

They don’t let me return books
I have the most expensive audible plan at 24 credits for $230 a year. I have roughly 200 books, as I am a big audio book consumer. However, some point I exceeded some imaginary threshold. They explained it is out of their control and controlled by an algorithm. So now if I buy a book by mistake or hate a book I am just stuck with it. The only reason I keep audible is my library is really big and I so feel “pot committed”. But I am far from happy with their service.
