Publisher's summary
Kate Polson loves fashion, Chicago city life and her ex-boyfriend, Trevor - so she thinks. Since Trevor left the big city and returned to his hometown of Wintervale, Colorado, Kate can't get him out of her mind. So when he asked her to come to Wintervale and help revive an old newspaper, she couldn't refuse. It would give her a chance to win him over and convince him to return to Chicago with her.
The mountainous dry wilderness surrounding small-town Wintervale boasts the opposite of everything Kate loves. If her plan succeeds, Trevor will be on the plane to Chicago with Kate in the fall. When she arrives in Wintervale and meets another man, her world is turned upside down.
Will Stonen loves his serene life as a park ranger at Mesa Verde National Park, until feisty Kate rumbles into town and rattles his quiet existence. But as Will watches his dearest friend die of cancer, he struggles to find God's peace in the midst of his tumultuous life.
Just when Kate believes she is getting through to Will and a spark of love ignites, she realizes Will can't offer the love she so desperately wants.
Will Kate learn to trust God's timing? Can Will learn the power of trust before it's too late for Kate's love?

This newer edition of the King James Bible published in 1769 is usually preferred by most that read it over the older 1611 version. This 1769 edition is highly sought after due to being more reader/listener friendly than the 1611 since many typos were fixed.... We hope your new audio bible will go everywhere with you and be a blessing for years to come.

Finding Kate
"This audiobook was provided by the author, narrator, or publisher at no cost in exchange for an unbiased review courtesy of Audiobook Blast."
This novel made me shake my head trying to figure why the protagonist would be quoting Bible scriptures and then shortly after try breaking up a relationship between another couple, because she is so sure she will marry him, after all she chased him from Chicago. She did grow as a person after a while.

Recommend the book over the audio
Is there anything you would change about this book?
The narrator. While Ms. Ring gave a nice sound to the main character, Kate, the supporting characters were overdone and tended to sound almost comical. There were also several areas where technical difficulties came through the audio. Not a great listening experience, rather an okay experience.
How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?
I liked the story in general. I would like to read the book for myself to really enjoy it.
How did the narrator detract from the book?
Mis-pronunciations, and technical errors for starters.
What would have made this romance irresistible?
I wish I would have read the book first. It was hard for me to remember that the story was actually good.
Any additional comments?

A standard Contemporary Christian Romance
I enjoyed this book while I was listening to it. It was a pleasant way to pass the time on a Sunday afternoon. However, there wasn’t anything special or different about it that would bring me back a second time.
I’m not fond of listening about a woman pursuing a man past reason. This story fell just short of that point. And an intelligent person would have brought the proper shoes & clothes for the location (hey, it would have been a chance to go shopping). That said, she really did get outside her comfort zone to help someone who needed it, which is admirable.
Narrator: She sounded a little young for the character to me, but her voice was pleasant. The male voices were acceptable.

Take a chance on Love
This is a good choice for a travel listen as it does not require total concentration to "read" and still enjoy. A predictable boy meets girl romance with a little twist at the end. I was pleased and surprised by the unique end the author delivered!
The narration was just Ok. Kate voice was fine but the rest was off.
I enjoyed this book for a light read and the clear Christian views presented.

Such A Good Listen - Read On
I don't believe that I can add too much to the publishers summary without spoiling or giving information that doesn't really matter to the story.
Finding Kate is a lovely Christian romance. If you're listening for some hot and heavy scenes, you won't find it here. Most of the book seems to revolve around the church & a wildlife park ranger.
Sometimes religious books can go overboard with the characters praying about every itty-bitty thing, Finding Kate was just right, in my opinion.
Finding Kate is well written and I enjoyed it right until the last 20 minutes - the cheesiest, most unbelievable scenario happened. But the epilogue made up for it and I would recommend it to those interested in this type of material.
I'm fortunate in that I have been listening to a string of books with tremendously good narration. Vicky Ring is no exception. She is a storyteller who reels you in with her voice and performance. Excellent job!
Notes This is a very innocent, romance that would be well-received by any audience in the contemporary Christian, romance & inspirational category. I could see my 10-year-old self listening to it or my grandmother enjoying it as well.
Stars: Overall 4, Performance 4, Story 3.8 (it would have been 4 but for that horrible cheesy scene!)

Hi! Thanks for checking out my review. Reviews help me in deciding whether or not to purchase a books, especially new authors or performers. Sometimes they are helpful and sometimes they're not. If you found this review helpful would you take a moment and select 'YES' below the next paragraph?
Follow me on Audible, if you'd like. My favorite books are contemporary romance and counter-terrorism/thrillers books by authors like Vince Flynn. However, you will find books from all genres, as I'm asked to listen to and review.
Authors & narrators, feel free to share my review on any other media that you would like. It's all yours, please include "review from DK via Audible" and link it back to this site.
