Publisher's summary

A mysterious private investigator embodies the darkness hidden within a small town in this spellbinding thriller that will “make you a Scott Carson fan for life” (Joe Hill, #1 New York Times bestselling author).

Marshall Miller would’ve remembered her face even if he hadn’t seen it on a MISSING poster.

When a young woman disappears in his small town, the investigation hinges on Marshall’s haunted sighting of her, crying in the back seat of a police car driven by a cop named Maddox.

There’s only one problem: no local cop named Maddox exists.

But the speeding ticket he handed to Marshall certainly does.

Dealing with police and media is heady stuff for a teenager, the son of a single mother, but Marshall is sure he can handle it, until the shocking day when his reliability as a witness implodes. Now scorned and shamed, he finds unlikely allies as he confronts the ancient secrets behind his small town’s peaceful façade—and learns the truth about his own family.

Lost Man’s Lane is a coming-of-age tale that proves why its author has been hailed as “a master” by Stephen King who consistently offers “eerie, gripping storytelling” (Dean Koontz).

Excellent Story

One of the better books of this genre that I've listened to. The story is suspenseful and works on many levels. Many twists and turns...no pun intended!
The narrator is good...my only complaint is that he makes the character of Weller sound like Putty from the Seinfeld show...very distracting!

So glad I found this one!

I LOVED all of the main characters in this one, well done! I went to high school with every one of them and found myself assigning familiar faces to the characters as they were introduced and I came to know them better.
The story! I’m not one who typically reads supernatural but I could not have imagined what was in store when Noah Storm started to unfold. Noah could be a book all his own….. I have found a new author to add to my favorites list. Thanks Scott Carson!

Good paranormal mystery

If you love paranormal ghost stories this is a good one. It is every bit as good as Dean Koontz and Stephen King.

Good listen!!

I really enjoyed this book. It was a little strange toward the end but if you have an imagination as most readers have it’s not too bad. The narrator made this book even more enjoyable. I would recommend. It has very little foul language and no indecent parts.

Solid Coming of Age/Supernatural Story

I was a little skeptical at first, but the story picked up and got better as it went along. A very satisfying tale with a likeable, talented voice actor at the helm. Some great quotes sprinkled throughout and —as someone who came of age in the 90’s — it captured the period well. Well worth your time/purchase if you’re a fan of King-type fiction. “They can’t handle the Weller!”

Stephen King would approve

90’s nostalgia, coming of age, solid character development, and creepy vibes. This one scratches of the right itches if you love Stephen King-esque storytelling.

Incredibly well written

I didn’t know much going into this one and I was pleasantly surprised. Being a sophomore in high school in 1999, the nostalgia throughout the book really hooked me. And the flow of the story was beautiful and engaging. Some things were predictable, but in the end it all came together so wonderfully. The mystery mixed with the supernatural and surrounded with life lessons. I would definitely recommend this book!
